Oh... well if it's on trading card art then....
It is funny how sometimes the look on a trading card is literally the only time a character was presented a particular way - and yet it sticks in peoples heads.

Those cards were many's first impressions or introductions to comic book characters. Me included. At the time, we wouldn't have known the difference.

Seems unlikely for a character that has been around over 80 years--particularly one whose most distinctive visual trait would stick right out of the top of a dress suit. Earliest I could find was Captain America #367 from 1989 where he's in this suit through the entire issue.

Huh. For some reason my memory is showing him in a white suit. I wonder where that came from. I'll have to check as it's been AGES since I've read those stories

Are you seeing a white jacket there? Is it me that's color blind or???? I'm not sure what point you think you're making.
That's a black jacket.
As an aside, I really like that shade of purple for Magneto.
I think Skull's jacket there is blue and black. No wait! It's white and gold.
Are Magneto's legs oddly stubby in that picture?
Xavier's brain Red Skull wore a grey didn't he? More a dumb trench coat than a suit.
Got Jack today, and not 5 seconds removed from the packaging his left arm snapped off at the glove 🤬
To clarify…His forearm is two sculpts, the glove and the lower elbow joint. The elbow pegs into a hole in the glove portion, so be careful when posing.
GameStop shipped everything at once. I received today the whole Spider cards set, Wolverine 2-packs and Angel. It's nice to just pre-order what you like and not have to worry about chase or Platinum figures of sought after characters who shouldn't be chase or Platinum figures. I got fed up and dropped that other company as of today. Which means now I have over $500 to spend on more Marvel Legends.
@jayjonah Congratulations on dropping that other company, fuck that guy.
Got most of the wave, but I’ve only opened a few of them.
Jack O Lantern is awesome! Great head sculpt and new torso with the butterfly joints. Such a fun classic design realized in a super articulated form. I like the pumpkin bomb execution as well as his hover platform.
Hallow’s Eve has a great character design and makes for a striking figure. Cool to get her and Chasm so close together.
Spider-Shot has a sleek Spider-Man design. I like it. The idea of the webshooters being guns is intriguing. I like the blast effects.
Still need to open up Scarlet Spider and Tombstone, who both look really nice in package.
Why all the McFarlane hate? I don't really pay attention to his line--did he kick a puppy recently, or is it long-term hate?
@enigmaticclarity for me it is his backwards views on female figures for one. He had an interview with Shartimus Prime (birds of a feather there) and talked of boys who buy female figures growing up to be serial killers. If I remember correctly there was a hesitation and then he said serial killers. I believe he wanted to throw in a slur there but thought better of it.
I get the impression he is very much a "good old boy".
He has also burned me on too many dropped lines and a scale change in the past so I'm just done with him.
Plus the McFarlane fanboys online are obnoxious.
I just don't care for the look of his action figures. Not only are they a different scale than I like, but their joint setup makes them look like marionettes. It's the same reason I don't like the old Toy Biz Marvel Legends anymore when compared to figures of today. (Plus I hate all the "diapers" that the McFarlane figures all seem to have.) I'm more than happy with my DC Universe Classics figure collection. No need for any others.
But we digress...
Back to this line, I actually did have pretty much the whole wave pre-ordered at the start. The villains for me, and the Spider-Men for my youngest. But he opted out, and since Spidey stuff is his domain, I opted out of everyone except Jack. I just couldn't pass him up.
