Dammit! I didn't notice they changed the Spider on his back to blue. Now I have to pick it up. Was hoping this was something I could just ignore. But that's a cool little detail that makes it worth getting. At least to a spider crazed lunatic like myself.

Definitely support re-releases on cardbacks!

However, I do wish MK had the gold accents to join the West Coast Avengers.

Never could find this Moon Knight at Walgreens so I'll pick him up. It's a shame they didn't at least give him the updated pinless body that already exists, though. Or the Vulcan buck.

Already have this Spidey, though.

I got 2 of the Walgreens Moon Knights so I may actually be able to skip this. May get the updated AF15 Spider-Man for the deco change.

Imagine how well a fan-channel Spider-Man release of the Amazing Friends version on retro cardback would do...

These seem like perfect choices for repacks to me.   I'll grab that Spidey since I missed out on the first one.  I like the blue spider too, it's a neat touch.

I was hoping Moon Knight would be in his black suit, like the old Toybiz figure.

It's not a miscolor, it's the original color, as seen throughout AF#15. I don't remember if it already changed by the time ASM#1 came out, or if it changed at some point during that title.

It got corrected in Amazing Spider-Man #1.  Here's a link to page 3 where we first see his back in that issue and you can see the spider is red.  I can't embed this image because it doesn't end in a file extension, and only images that end in something like .png or .jpg can be embedded in this new forum software.

It’s frustrating how they continue putting characters like this on the Sunfire buck. Oh well, more money for Joes.

I got both of these the first time around, but I'm hardcore down for all the retro cardbacks.

Winner winner chicken dinner!

Is this Moon Knight really necessary?   I feel like I've bought a lot of Moon Knight figures in the last handful of years and I feel like this one might be redundant.    I know with the Spider-Man someone here was just asking for the figure with the blue spider on his back, so at least that one was asked for, I guess.

These Target exclusives might be skippable for me.

I would say Moon Knight's extremely necessary. From what I can tell, and remember at the time of release, a LOT of people actually missed out on that figure because he barely got released, showed up in a few Walgreens, and disappeared. He might actually be the hardest to get of the various Walgreens releases.

Also, these 'some countries won't ever see it because you don't have these stores' releases can always get a re-issue at a different store because it increases the chances they'll turn up in other places. I'm hoping to actually get to find one myself this time. Classic MK is my favorite version of MK and I still don't own this figure. It's actually the only Legends figure I'm excited about right now besides Crystar and new toon Wolverine.

On what panel in which issue was Spider-Man's spider miscolored blue?  I'm guessing it must have happened at some time.

Celebrating 'Amazing Fantasy' #15 And The First Appearance of Spider-Man!

Thanks, been a while since I read AF 15.

Funny, giving him the blue spider from AF 15 seems like something they should have done the first time around when he was billed as a dedicated AF 15 version of Spider-Man packaged in a box with the big, bold AMAZING FANTASY title barely one year ago.  I'm sure it was an honest oversight.

Likewise. This would have been a great opportunity to do that, but I get straight-up rereleasing it as-is for the folks who missed the Walgreens version.

No real interest in Moon Knight, but I actually kind of want the Spider-Man. He'd probably look better alongside the Alex Ross inspired Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor figures I have grouped together as the Avengers than the Ultimate Universe Spider-Man I've been displaying with them. Just not sure what I would do with that SM figure if I got this one. I've so far done a good job avoiding having more than one figure of any character. Maybe I could pretend it's Miles in the short-lived store-bought costume he wore before getting his own design, lol.

If they'd released the blue spider first they would have had a chorus of complaints about not releasing the most wanted version first and "forcing" people to buy it. I think they made the right call.

I wonder if we'll ever get a figure of the Burglar? Would make a cool generic goon if they included some extra heads - I'd love him in exactly that look from AF15.

I remember running around to so many Walgreens to find this Moon Knight.  Wish I had sold him off.  This body is way too skinny for the character, and overall just poses poorly compared to the options we have now.
