Pass on Star Dancer.  I barely remember her, and not that interested.

Big YES on Andromeda.  Another Atlantean, and a Defender.  Bring her on.

Andromeda Handbook look please.  Never heard of Star Dancer, but seems like a not too difficult custom from a Jocasta figure.

My knowledge of Marvel is usually pretty limited to mainstream or modern characters. How is it that characters can find their way into the mainstream? Why do others fade into obscurity? Take either of these characters, Star Dancer and Andromeda. Are they deceased in continuity? Why aren't they used in modern comics? What keeps them from breaking out?

Truthfully, I've never heard of Star Dancer. She's new to me, so I don't have any kind of connection to her. So unless she was in a BaF wave I wanted, she'd likely be a pass.

Andromeda would definitely be a buy. More characters from Namor's world are always welcome.

Exactly my response to these two.

Star Dancer would only be a purchase in a BAF wave I wanted.

Andromeda in the first two pictures would be a purchase.

Yes to classic Andromeda, bring on more Defenders!

Yes to Star Dancer too, because I'm trying to recreate the original Handbook covers in Legends form. Even though she only appeared in that one issue of Two-In-One she did get cover placement in OHOTMU number 10 (between Spidey's foot and the Stranger), and there's a dearth of figures from that cover as is.

Speaking of...can we get the Stranger, Shroud, Starfox, Stingray, Sidewinder, Starhawk, etc etc etc already?!?!?

Wow, I TOTALLY forgot she was in the OHOTMU, and I lived and breathed that thing. Shows how much of a non-impression she made.

Are the Official Handbooks not on Marvel Unlimited anywhere?  I can't seem to find them.

Yes to Andromeda to give Namor another character!

Andromeda is in Namor’s Defenders of the Deep team. They featured in Avengers a couple years back, along with the Winter Guard and Legion of the Unliving (vampires). It was a fun time with a lot of different teams.

I'm surprised to hear you say that as a fixture of this board.

My Marvel knowledge is dwarfed by most people on this board, but I think I know more about Marvel than 99% of the public. (I kind of hope so, anyway, as someone with an extensive Marvel action figure collection.)

It would appear not. The 80s and 90s have some real gaps yet.

I didn't think I was overlooking them but I'm new to the app and there was a very long list that pulled up when I searched for it.  I can still read them on a particular website I go to but it would be a scan of the old comics and the text was never that easy to read because it was so small.

I believe I'm familiar with the site of which you speak, and truthfully I'd recommend picking up the Omnibus Collections. The original run, the Deluxe Edition, Update '89, and Master Edition (if that's your preference, but I passed on that) have all been collected, and are MUCH easier to read than my originals.
