Been thinking of ideas of accessories for Black Suit Spider-Man

Display piece showing Spider-Man's reflection of the new costume

Metal door (from the Rhino fight)

Bare arm (from when Connors tries to take a sample of the Symbiote)

Torso from when Peter tries to remove the costume

Web line/Symbiote covering for Eddie Brock

I love the paint job on Spidey. I don't plan on picking him up, but I'm sure the glamour shots are going to make that a harder decision.

I like the first Wolverine Mondo did, but he's also pretty comfortably the worst of the bunch in terms of likeness. And the unmasked head was not a good likeness. The new one looks like a clear and obvious improvement. I like that they're making him shorter too, I just wish they had done the same with the civilian look Wolverine. He's basically the same size as the first Wolverine they did.

Where are Storm, Beast, and Jean!? I can't wait to see Mondo's take on these classics! Couldn't even imagine them doing Apocalypse and Juggernaut!

@wthiotina they're probably coming along with another villain or two. I think Mondo views the consumer base for X-Men and Spider-Man as pretty much one in the same so the Spider-Man figures are essentially taking up slots that may have gone to X-Men in prior years. Which is fine by me because there was a lot beforehand and these things aren't cheap.

They're really doubling down on doing small runs of Limited Edition figures that sell out within hours if not minutes. Huge bummer. The Timed Edition approach is way better.

Definitely agree there!

Only one edition which is limited? That's strange. I see they have a 10 dollars off promotion going right now, but all it does is make this Spidey the same price as the red and blue version ($220). That said, it does look amazing in those shots. I am a sucker for the black with blue highlights.

Thanks for the heads-up on the sale! I bought Jubilee and Gambit because I'm frickin' weak. Now that a better Wolverine is on the way my defenses are down!

Forgot Cyclops was already on the way. Do I go back and order him now, too? UGH.

They did the same with Batman Beyond which quickly sold out and Mondo then announced a regular edition would be coming - so its possible they may do the same for Symbiote Spider-Man

Looks like Spidey sold out pretty fast. I checked a little after 1 EST and he was in stock, but as-of 1:30 he was gone. I'm not surprised given it was limited to 1,000 and the black costume is pretty damn popular.

Yeah, I got one as soon as it went up and it looked to last about 25 minutes. Better than what happened with Rogue, but still not great.

Overall, Mondo is definitely starting to feel "Funko-ified" with all the forced scarcity. I've been collecting their one-sixth line since the first Batman: The Animated Series release, which I think was like 2018. Originally, there was only one or so releases a year, and they tended to hang out and not sell out for a while. There was a deluxe edition offered for each, but again, no immediate sell-out.

Once Funko bought Mondo, the number of releases and lines have skyrocketed, and they shifted to Timed Editions and now Limited Editions. The '90s Batman, X-Men, and Spider-Man cartoons are probably my top fandoms, so I'm prioritizing these releases over stuff, but still wish Mondo would slow down.

There are like three releases a month now. Can't really afford to collect other stuff! I canceled the ML Spider-Verse wave and some McFarlane stuff to budget it out.

Also, apparently all three Spider-Man figures and Cyclops are scheduled to ship in December. It'll be nice to actually get some of these.

REALLY looking forward to Cyclops.  All he needs to do is to be able to stand around touching the side of his head or the X on his chest, and I'm sure Mondo won't drop the ball on that.

Or maybe I just jinxed myself and I'll get one with weak knees.  😳
