I'm, thankfully, not interested in going down the Spider-Man path. Maybe Venom as a one-off, but I'm actually pretty content with the Hasbro offering there even if there are things about it that could have easily been improved. I also don't love that Venom design, I'm more amused by the weirdness of it. Now if Mondo did a Mark Bagley "Lethal Protector" Venom I'd be chucking my wallet at them.
I'm a little surprised they didn't make the hair removable, but I'm guessing it's a case of the figure just having the budget for it since Omega Red isn't begging for accessories. He looked awesome at Comic Con so naturally I grabbed him. So far, I'm all-in on this line, but it wouldn't bother me if Red is the last solicitation of 2023. Mondo has already taken over a grand from me this year.
Yeah, I hope they slow down for a few months. Between this line and the Batman one, there’s been a figure nearly every month. They went from one a year or two to like ten a year immediately.
Do you guys buy these for retail or are there sites and places with a discount? I'd LOVE to collect this line. But 4 figures for about $1k can't fit into my budget.
@wthiotina I've bought them all for retail, but if you play the waiting game you may get lucky. Wolverine has been pretty easy to get at a discount, but I haven't seen the others hit clearance yet. They all came out this year though so it just might not have happened yet. If Amazon is carrying Magneto and Jubilee, then you can almost guarantee they'll hit clearance at some point unless they sell out. Omega Red being limited to a thousand might make that unlikely, but I also have no idea what a reasonable sales expectation is for such a figure. There might still be excess out there even at such a low production run.
They are also doing timed exclusives which i've seen retain their value or surpass retail... I had the timed exclusives of Magneto and Sabretooth and sold them both for a profit.
If you don't mind having an exclusive or a figure with additional parts, you might find a deal.
I agree about slowing down the rest of the year. It's a lot of money, but I can't help myself lol.

I’ve been buying the timed/limited edition on Mondo. I’ve cut back on other lines like McFarlane DC Multiverse and even some Legends to absorb the hit. Not usually a 1/6-scale guy, but these are the closest we’ll ever see to 3D representations of the cartoon.

Toyshiz is at Designercon and visited Mondo's booth - at 6.55 you can see they have Rogue planned for the X-Men TAS line
I own Wolverine (which I purchased on deep discount from Amazon) and I'm down for Rogue, Spider-Man, black costume Spider-Man, Venom, & Carnage should they choose to release him.

Wow. She looks really good.
She's beautiful - everything I ever wanted in an Animated Rogue.
Don't love the giant cut line in her chest when under the boobs is a natural, disguised cut line. That giant line really breaks up her otherwise very clean lines.
I also liked the way the person speaking in the video spoke about the character. That would have sold me right there, but I already was.
I hope they rerelease Wolverine with better looking heads. I bought Omega Red only because he genuinely looked so great. Rogue now looks like another one of those unavoidable purchases. I decided to wait on Gambit which was the one I wanted most, but because I wasn't sure if I just wanted a single Gambit doll and nothing else if the others didn't look that great, I passed. At $200 a pop I doubt I'll be diving much into this line other than getting ones that look too good to pass up. It seems a shame that Wolverine will end up the worst looking one despite his key status in the X-Men. The civilian Logan figure looks good and shows how far these have come since they started, but even when he was on sale I couldn't bring myself to buy that Wolverine because of the faces looking so underwhelming.
@jtmarsh They did re-do Batman in the B:TAS line as a "Batman: Redux" figure so its possible they might do that for Wolverine as well one day given his status as arguably the most popular of the X-Men 🙂
