I don't plan on ever using that flame-on head. I've just got his flame effect clipped all over his body, so he's just kinda lightly on fire. It's a nice departure from the typical body engulfed in flames. I'm also not using that flame base because my shelf is too short for it to fit, and it feels like it'll wilt easily.

I just picked up the first version of comic Spider-Man, and I like it a lot. I probably spent a bit more than I needed to, but not as much as the upcoming version. I think I prefer the black/red/modernish look of this one anyway.

STILL waiting for movement on Doom.

Got Doom in today, and it's just an excellent figure: been messing around with it quite a bit today, and he's just so much fun to play around with and pose! The die-cast for the armor was a great choice, and the wired cape/hood is probably the best one Mezco has done yet. Doom honestly stands out as one of the absolute best One:12 figures so far for me, and one of those characters that's a perfect fit for this line. Nick Fury is another character I would LOVE to see in this line, because none of the Legends figures have nailed it for me, and I feel like Mezco would crush it with him.

Even more excited for Spidey and Goblin now (and the FF set, whenever I can actually swing that one 😆)

I Don't collect Mezco figures anymore with the exception of Conan or some other old wierd comicbook characters. Mafex all the way.

But that Doom figure...I just had to buy it.

Mezco's superhero figures don't typically appeal to me that much, but I feel like Doctor Doom is better suited towards the format than most others. I got mine around the end of last year and it's absolutely fantastic, just barely made it into my top 10. It's a bit limited in places, articulation kinda feels like a lateral move compared to the Legends, but the presentation is just top notch across the board. Accessories are what really sets it over the top, all those hands and effects pieces do so much for a character like Doom.

I'm gonna try to get that Green Goblin when it releases. None of his comic Marvel Legends figures really do it for me anymore, he absolutely deserves better. Helps that I feel Gobby is another character that really lends himself to the usage of cloth goods.

I wish the soft goods were a brighter green. I have been cleaning that hood/cape/tunic every single day at work for the past 25 years

Do you ... work for Dr Doom?

Have there been any straight comparison pics of Mezco Doom and the ML Super Skrull Doom?  I saw the one in D Amazing's video, but his has the custom tunic and the weren't really stood up straight up next to each other.

Also, can Dooms arms really be folded in front if him like in Mezco's promo pic?  I'm not a fan of Mezco in general, but I am a fan of Doom of course and this figure looks pretty great.  Tempted to get it and swap out my existing Doom in the display.

I'm wondering this as well.  Can't think of any other villain who is more menacing just standing there with his arms folded than Doom.

Here are those promo shots for reference.  Looks like his arms are only at their usual 90 degree angle I've seen he has in the reviews, so they look like poses he could probably legit get into.

agree 100 percent!  If he can achieve that pose, he's most likely going to end up in my collection.   I just need to know if he really looks THAT much better than the Doom I already have since he's $150 or whatever silly price Mezco slaps on their figures.

I'd be cool with a lateral move. The Legends figure moved well enough. As others have said, I mostly want Doom to look imposing and badass in my display. He doesn't need to move all that much.

Green Goblin is tempting to me for the same reasons. I worry that he'll be too big for my Legends display, though. That, and I understand the MEGO complaint with Green Goblin more than I have with any other Mezco figure.

Ha. We must've overlapped for a short time when I lived in Orlando. I used to do special events for Universal, IOA, and CityWalk.

Not unless you worked for our dry cleaner specifically, but we were doing basically the same job.

Yeah, I think it's still enough to do just about everything you'd want. The cloth skirt and cape does open up a lot of range for anyone who didn't modify the Legends in any way. I gave mine a cloth cape, but didn't bother with a cloth tunic so it feels like it gets more movement.

I definitely get the MEGO comparisons, but I'm hoping it'll be one of those things that works better in-hand like so many of their other figures. I think the pics taken of Gobby at SDCC last year did the figure more favors than the initial promo pics did.

Actually seeing that the scales are a bit of a raised element rather than a printed pattern like I first thought does a lot for it.

Not at all, the biceps crash too much against the torso. You can kiiiinda cheat it if you have the arms up high enough, but it's not gonna look like the promo pics.

Yeah, this is about as good as it gets. First is me trying my best to replicate the promo images and the second is an attempt at actually getting the arms as close as they can go. Like I said, you can kinda cheat it if you raise the arms up high enough.

Lord, that's not even close. No butterfly joints, I take it?

The shade of green is much nicer than I expected, though.
