I'm in the same boat, @h-bird. Like Taskmaster, Captain America and the Fantastic Three (grumble) before them, Archangel, War Machine and Hobgoblin are irresistible for me, despite usually buying larger, fudgeable characters only.
Hey, that Thing figure is so good that they used it on an official poster for the new Fantastic Four movie! 😅
This lineup of figures is indeed great. The only one I'm personally not interested in is Archangel, just because I have no familiarity with the character and don't really have any X-Men characters. I really hope all of these make it to production, but it definitely seems like a longshot.
By the way, I assume this website has been acting super janky for everyone else..? Is there ANYWHERE else on the internet where there's centralized discussion about Marvel Select?
Annihilus is absolutely useable in the Legends display - he's an alien in armor whose size has been depicted in a variety of ways enough that I will be fine fudging him into my Legends display without a second thought.
Archangel turned out so pretty I'm just going to put him on my 7 inch shelf next to the future He-Man folks and not worry about it.
Definitely want this Annihilus figure, but it won’t negate my need for a classic Annihilus to be made in Marvel Legends as well.
I will gladly replace that old Legends Annhilus with this one but in turn would replace this one with a proper Legends one. It is rare that Annhilus isn’t human sized. It’s his general look.
It's so cute DS went to Toy Fair and showed new reveals. Pretty safe to assume these will never be made. We were suppose to have Annhilus back in September - if it was on a boat before CNY, we'd already have it.
Why the negative attitude? I assume if they're still showing them off they have reason to believe they'll still be released, unless you have some greater insight to share.
I couldn't tell from the pics if these were still the resin prototypes or if they were production - I'm sure it's a mix of both. But Annihilus' glued waist I did notice.

I'm as disappointed as anyone that Annihilus isn't coming (having sold my ML), but it's not a negative (zone) attitude, it's reality. I'm told the only reason they went to ToyFair is because they paid for the space and couldn't get a refund. People I know who've worked for them with longstanding relationships say that even if someone buys DS, the licenses (or most of them) do not transfer. That makes it exponentially more doubtful there will be a buyer.
I hope they will find a miracle solution but the odds are not in their favor.

This is a weird answer though. Sure the convention space is expensive and if it's non-refundable that's a sunk cost. But why throw good money after bad? It's not free to pack stuff up, send staff to the convention site, pay for hotel rooms in town, all to display defunct product that you know will never be made... that doesn't track at all. They had to have at least some hope that displaying there could net a positive outcome for them somehow or why burn money for no reason?
It's good publicity for any potential buyer to see customers excited for upcoming product? And to gauge actual order numbers for said product?
Pretty lame if so, but DST has burned me so many times in the past with cancelled product. Fingers crossed things are still coming.
For what it's worth, I just got a notice from BBTS that my Spider-Man Clone Saga Minimates set from Diamond Select, which I ordered in April of 2024, is processing, so new stuff is still coming out. I wouldn't be surprised if Annihilus, War Machine, and Archangel all shipped at the same time.
I think it was Annihilus, War Machine, Archangel. I definitely need all of them. Plus Hobgoblin. And Deadpool & Wolverine.
I'll just add on here that I received a "pre-order processing soon" email from BBTS on the Invincible animated series Rex Splode and Mauler Twins figures. Those went up for pre-order originally on 11/17/23 and Annihilus went up for pre-order on 12/22/23, so about a month apart.
The only other one that I have pre-ordered from DST through BBTS is Hobgoblin, which I pre-orderd on 12/20/24 but I remember not being interested in that at first so I may not have placed my order on Day 1 like I did those listed above. However if I did enter the pre-order on Day 1, then it went up a full year after Annihilus.
Those late 2023 orders are my oldest open orders at BBTS along with the Epic HACKS Red Sonja 50th anniversary figure, which I honestly fully expect to cancel at this point but just haven't done yet.
