I got an email stating a shipping label was created.  It looks like I may actually be getting this set!

@captaincracker How many minutes into the sale window did you order? Did you use the “coupon”? Just testing theories

@derrabbi I used the 25% off code and I was pretty late ordering.  It had gone out of stock, but I kept refreshing.  The order history says I placed it at 6:33  (Eastern).

UPS has it now, so I'm pretty excited.  I have no idea how I got so lucky.  I just really hope the rest of the sets are easier to get.

Wow. I ordered 1 minute after it was available. Got the confirmation email right then. Maddening.

@derrabbi That's terrible.  I went to Disney Springs today.  I was going to pick up a set for you (pending mine gets delivered), but they were sold out.

It's crap like this that makes me wary of the Disney website.  This is not the first time they've shafted collectors on something.

I got my set in today.  I've been contemplating getting Green Goblin for years, but a complete one was more than I was willing to pay.  I'm super happy to finally get him.  I opened Lizard as well and I never realized his tail was just plush.  Both figures are loads of fun.  I already have Spiderman, so he may stay in the box.  I'll probably open Electro this weekend, but I'm not too psyched about him.

Overall it's a great set and I can't wait for more!

Can def confirm the original Lizard's tail was all plush. Still have my old beat up one in a box.

Broke down and ordered a set off eBay. Didn't pay THAT much over retail. These things were my childhood. Is out for delivery today. Hopefully my wife doesn't throw them in the trash while I'm at work.

Electro is really well done.  He fits perfectly as a what would Mego have done if the line continued.  I hope you like him.

Glad you got a set after all.  Megos were absolutely my favorite as a child.  Followed by Kenner Star Wars.

I was always bummed that the line ended.  Finally having my own Green Goblin and Lizard is just so great.  Electro is the icing on the cake.  Loving this set!

Really hope they stay with the classic looks going forward.  Just wish these were easier to get.  Going through Disney is not ideal to say the least.

Yeah; they are pretty great. I wasn't much interested in the carded ones a few years back but when they did the boxes I was all about them. The DC ones too. I like the speculative ones too. I don't mind a little updating. Even as a kid I was annoyed that Cap's arms were all blue.

When Mego imploded who were the next Marvel characters they had in the pipeline? I always knew the Dr Doom became Iron Man stories and that Green Lantern and Flash were next up in DC. Wonder who the Marvel ones were going to be. I so wanted Vision, Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye back as a kid. X-Men too but there was no way of that. I was an early X-Men adopter. It wouldn't be to the very late 70s that they begin to draw a larger audience.

So they said they are doing 20. The original 12 I assume plus ..... Electro and 7 others.

I don't think they will do Conan because of the rights.

But I'm sure they will do the rest.  I'm torn between nostalgia and accuracy when it comes to figures of Cap, Hulk and the Thing.  I never liked the black face mask on Cap, yet I still loved the figure.  I loved Hulk and Thing, yet it bothered me that they were shorter than the other heroes.  What will be a major let down for me is if they use the MCU costumes for Cap, Iron Man, Thor, etc... going forward.  I really want these to stay with the 70's looks.

I have no idea who was coming next for Marvel Megos.  I made my own Flash, Black Panther, and Dr. Doom.  I had dreams about going to stores and finding a wall of Megos with the new characters I wanted so bad.  Vision, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Black Panther, Dr. Doom, Silver Surfer, Abomination, etc....

Excited these are coming.  Just wish they were easier to get.

@puckace I used to have those dreams too. Avengers, X-Men and villains they never made. 70s Toys R Us kid fever dreams. The long walk up the shopping cart chute and then into the store. No Conan seems likely. Leaving lots of room for speculative Megos that never were. A Cyclops, Phoenix, Magneto, Wolverine wave seems likely. All of course never made. So 9 speculative. Those 4, Electro, Black Panther, Dr Doom, Loki & Daredevil is my call. Possibly a Dr Strange.

I would not buy any if they used modern designs. The only exception I might would say is good if they gave Cap his red gloves and white sleeves. I don't think they should do any character that didn't exist by 1980. Certainly not for a good while.

Toys R Us kid dreams 🙂

That's a great list!

As for your X-Men 4 pack, I think Cyclops, Wolverine, and Magneto are likely.  But I'd rather see Storm or Rogue in that fourth spot.

My other 5 guesses are:  Black Panther, Dr. Doom, Daredevil, Dr. Strange, and of course Electro.

This being Disney though, I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to put Deadpool in there.  Ugh!
