Well that was a massively oversold gimmick.

I am not impressed with a square piece of plastic that has a printed cover of a comic.   That is not an accessory, or pack-in, or whatever you want to call it, that you should be hyping, or acting like it is some great addition to Marvel Legends.

That being said, I do like the cardbacks for the figures.   I like that they are using the comic font for each character.

As for the figures.....

ROM!!!!!!  Nuff' said.  Definite preorder.

Adam Warlock.   Definitely needed an update on this look and he looks great.  Definite preorder.

Daken.   Good update to a figure that needed it, and another addition to the Dark Avengers.   However I am not building the team so I don't need him.

Miles.   Again, another good update and the figure looks pretty good.   I'll probably keep an eye out for him, but I'm not a huge fan of the character so I am good with what I have if I can't find him on sale (which is probably very likely).

Ultimate Iron looks incredible.  I hope that is how he turns out once released (which should be the case right?).   However Iron Man doesn't sell out anymore as a figure so I'll wait for a sale before biting.

Banshee.   This is the version I have been waiting for and I am glad they didn't wait too long to get him out after releasing his blue/yellow version.

We’ve gone from the time of getting a copy of a comic to getting a piece of plastic that looks like a comic, what an age we live in!  I’ll be getting ROM though.

If they do a wave 2, they should make Marionette aka Mari, and have her come is an issue of Micronauts #1, since she's one of the Marvel made characters, for the series. 🙂 Also, she could loosely pass for a Hypnotia figure, for those whose also want her. (I know for a fact, I'm not the only one)

I would gladly and proudly display Marionette and Bug on my shelves!

For sure.   I remain convinced that Hasbro should release Marionette, Bug and Arcturus Rann as Marvel Legends figures and then do a separate release in Hasbro Micronauts trade dress and different style packaging six inch scale figures of Acroyear,  Baron Karza and an oversized Biotron.  They would obviously go together but wouldn't have to "cross streams" of what's owned by whom.

Then Hasbro  could continue the Micronauts line with subsequent waves of updated versions of things like Galactic Defender, Centaurus, Pharoid, Lobros and Membros, Space Glider, Repto and maybe even Karza's horse Andromeda.

Seriously though -  it would be pretty neat if they partnered up in that way.

I like these little comic books, but I wish maybe we had gotten a few open ones as well.

As for the wave itself, I'll really just pick up Rom and maybe Ultimate Iron Man. I like PS4 Miles more than this Miles and honestly prefer the detail on the 3 Pack Banshee.

Oh yay.

Yet another go at the Infinity Gauntlet Adam Warlock, instead of the classic Bronze Age Starlin costume.

Bleh

I'm just glad that Daken actually has the 3rd claw, this time.

I also have advocated for this since Hasbro got the Micronauts, seems like perfect symmetry to do this as alternating Marvel and Hasbro multipacks.

If you haven't seen, Hasbro has licensed their owned Micronauts to Super7, who is making 1:18 scale Karza and Biotron with o-ring builds in their Reaction+ line.

A nice looking selection of figures.
Rom looks good.

Ultimate Iron Man definitely looks to be an improvement over the old one.

Banshee… almost makes it.  However, for a GSXM Banshee, I’ve got to wonder why the screaming head lacks sideburns?  The neutral head has them, but not the screaming head.  It might be nitpicky, but it bothers me.

Adam Warlock looks decent enough from that era.  I would have preferred a more classic look, but this is what they gave us.  Nothing looks particularly bad about this one, it’s just not the version I would have liked.

Daken and Miles look okay, but they’re just not big wants of mine.

Always Bumping on Instagram sculpted Ultimates Iron Man! He’s sculpted a bunch of outstanding Iron Man armors over the years!

I posted some of these thoughts in the other thread, but I'm surprised no one is commenting on:

- Banshee AND Warlock STILL having the forearm cuts in their arms

- Miles' hips being super wide

- Banshee getting two reused heads - they could have swapped the facial hair as mentioned above, or given us new ones - the figure is a simple repaint

- Ultimate Iron Man looks like the new MCU Ironheart

And this isn't a criticism but does Daken really have a third claw popping out of his hand? Ouch.

@schizm Daken's third claw came out of the same spot that Omega Red's tentacle comes from, just below the wrist. At least, I think it was supposed to.

I'll pick up Banshee as I don't expect my preferred manufacturer to ever do him (see also my picking up Longshot, Spiral and Destiny). I confess I have never understood the ROM love though, the OG toy looked rubbish to me and I never read the comics so he holds zero appeal.
