Not unexpected at $49.99, but difficult for me to see the value. I was someone who didn't flinch on Phoenix at that same price (when a lot of people thought that was crazy), but this feels like a lot less for the exact same price point honestly. At least with Phoenix I knew that I'd use the stand, but with this I know that most accessories will just go in a bin to never be seen again (speaking for myself only, of course).
Yeah, NO. This is at best a 39.99$ figure.
Neca figures - new sculpts, paint, come with the same amount of stuff or even more, they're bigger. Cost less. Ghost Rider with a bike was the same price. With a BIKE. Spiral was a single card new sculpted figure - 25$. How on earth does this price make sense? If you are thinking of spending $50 for THIS, you might as well just go buy an import figure. It's much better. MAFEX Spider-Man 185 is less than $50 on hobby genki right now.
I’d never tell someone how to spend their hard earned money, but maybe we just...don't? Maybe we shouldn't support the obvious overpricing?
I'm not surprised or offended by the price, but there's a good chance I'm out at $50. I also won't be surprised when it sells out and I feel a tinge of regret at missing out on it, but I've got so many great Spidey figures already it won't be the end of the world.
A Maximum Hulk might be harder to pass on. If Mafex is planning to make one I hope they show it off soon...
I can't say I'm shocked at the price, but I certainly won't consider buying this figure at that price. There is just no way there is an entire extra figure's worth of value in there for me. If this is what we have to look forward to with the Maximum series - I'll be sticking to the basic Legends line.

Those webs would sure look a lot nicer with a dark paint wash. But I understand how Hasbro can't fit that into the budget, this thing is already a steal at $50. 🤣 🤣
But for real, I think those pearlescent webs with no paint are the worst part of this release. The web ball looks like a big splooge.

$49.99 doesn't seem too bad, it's better than $80.00.
People were expecting/worrying that this would come in with a $50 price tag - and hoping (naively or at least uselessly) that Hasbro wouldn't really try to jack up the price that significantly.
I was prepared for them to ask $50 for this figure though I don't think there's more than $35 worth of value in the package from my viewpoint. I'm glad you like it so much you're willing to buy multiples. I don't like it enough to buy any.
Hasbro will have to hope there are enough people like you to pay the asking price and make this release strategy worthwhile. We'll see how it plays out.
