Putting things on the retro cards seems like a no-brainer for these Marvel Unlimited figs - especially compared to the plastic bag they usually throw them in. Retro FA Daredevil last year was great, and this is a pretty sweet looking variant. Is this just from a cover, or is there more backstory?

but apparently this is solely from a variant cover to an issue of Moon Knight.

So, while I will fully admit to finding the figure attractive - and I will slot it into a corner of my Spider-verse shelf if I end up with one... THIS is the perfect kind of exclusive for the subscription. It's a neat idea, unique enough to be somewhat desirable, but unessential enough to the overall marvel experience that most fans won't feel left out if they don't have one.

I feel like they've generally done a pretty good job with finding that sweet spot, with some misses in either direction. Gold Ultron, SHIELD Captain Marvel, purple Deadpool, FA Daredevil rerelease - all fine. FA Nova? Probably enough appeal that he could be a wide release. Fangirl Kamala in Spider-Pajamas? Honestly I kinda like the figure, but wasn't the most exciting reveal.
Exactly the kind of figure I want to get with my subscription - not something that is going to upset people who don't have a subscription, but kinda random and fun, and I'm always a sucker for a spider-variation. I'm already on auto-renew anyway so I'll just roll into the next year happily.

Before they went 6" they did the 4" Marvel Universe Nick Fury for the subscription around the same time they released the Helicarrier. I remember that made some people mad.
Of those listed released I have only managed to get ahold of Tony Stark, Terror Inc Deadpool and Nova. The ones I still would like in my collection but haven't gone out of my way for are Rescue and venomized Punisher... I'd probably take a Captain Kitty if someone offered her to me as well, though I'm not troubling myself terribly for what amounts to a scarf. If I found a Captain Marvel in the black and silver costume I'd probably pick that up. I don't care at all about cosplay Kamala, golden Ultron or the black and yellow Daredevil.
