I pre-ordered DD and it's my first MAFEX figure. I have the 3 pack DD but I like the look and color differentiation on the MAFEX better.
I like the three-pack DD a lot, but it comes down to paint for me. I'll probably break my one-figure-per-character rule and just keep both figures. MAFEX DD will be my shelf DD, though.
I don't hate it, but that voice in my head is asking me why I'd want to get it when I have the three-pack version already.
As someone who missed the 3 pack I definitely see the Mafex as becoming my default DD in my collection
Looks like the battle-damaged version of Iron Man Mark 85 is about to ship. I'm not interested in it right now because it's not different enough from the non-battle-damaged version, but who knows, maybe the reviews will show me enough changes to want it later.

I like the luxurious import toy smell.
Made from the richest forms of ABS and PVC plastic.
Rich, Corinthian plastic.
Still hoping for a Mafex Green Goblin figure.
with the announcement of ML retro Jack O Lantern on the Vulcan buck yesterday, a new Green Goblin is coming so I’m not holding my breath that Mafex will be doing any Spider-Man villains outside of the symbiots because of their mass appeal.
I have the ML DD from the 3 pk. It’s a nice figure, but the paint app always bugged me, especially not seeing the DD logo very well, and those feet is too big. I think the Mafex DD paint is far superior, but it has its flaws as well with the body. The slim appearance from the pictures don’t bother me as much, but it’s how the shoulder looks when it’s raised; it looks odd. I don’t have too much to nitpick at it besides not having an unmasked head so I preordered the Mafex DD. However I’m not sure it would replace my ML DD 3pk since I upgraded it with multiple head expressions from RXT Project and 3rd party bendy cables because I wasn’t expecting Mafex to do a DD. That being said, I can’t wait to have it in hand, or see some reviews for it down the road.
Was black panther not getting a reissue or something?

Most likely... funny enough, the symbiotes never really appealed to me. I'm more of a Lee/Ditko/Romita and Stern/Frenz/DeFalco kind of Spidey fan.
With Daredevil coming what are the chances to see Elektra?
Iron Man Mark 85 battle damage version is in stock at most places. Anybody know why it's more expensive than most releases? It doesn't seem to come with a significant number of accessories, so I don't get why it's $25 to $35 above the usual price.
@nickclark89 Who can say? Only one man might be able to tell us for sure but alas I guess he was lost in the great forum collapse of Summer '23.
@revox spill the teaaaa haha who was that person?
Elektra would be awesome but I'm still waiting for a proper 90s Beast, iceman and Rogue siiiigh
Koji teased Rogue and Jubilee. I can't remember if he said anything about Beast or Iceman though.
Got the Mafex MCU Iron Man Mark 50 yesterday. It is without a doubt the most impressive individual 1:12 scale action figure I've ever owned, by FAR. Looks great, tight joints everywhere, and the accessories are beyond insane. Virtually every nano item Stark manifested in Infinity War is included with the figure aside from a few minor ones. The closest comparison in terms of included accessories I know of is the Mezco steelbox tiger stripe Wolverine, but this one blows the slightly wonky cloth aesthetic and overall look of that figure away. It's virtual perfection.
The box it came in is gigantic compared to other Mafex figures. You can see below it's double the width of Mafex The Batman which is in their usual-sized box. It's also about 75% taller back-to-front than most Mafex boxes.
Not sure why so few are interested in this guy, but he's awesome. I'm guessing the SHF and ThreeZero versions are the main reasons this guy doesn't seem to be anticipated, but SHF is too small, ThreeZero is too big, and neither include as many accessories as the Mafex, so I had been holding out for the Mafex. Not disappointed at all.
