Even Mafex can't do Ice-Man right. We will never get a proper, angled edges Ice-Man will we?
Even if we do, what are the odds it is executed in the proper colored Semi or translucent plastic. It's hard to customize that.
Apart from his angular haircut, Iceman was never drawn as particularly blocky, atleast when Jim Lee or Whilce Portacio drew him in the early days of Blue and Gold team. MAFEX seem to be going for the same depiction, so I don't see any issue here.
@darkmoon766 I'm sure it will still be better than Hasbro's paltry excuse for an Iceman. I'm hoping it is either translucent or well-painted white with blue shading, and comes with a good selection of appropriate accessories. A Mafex Iceman has been my most desired figure from any company for a while now, so I'm really glad to see they are finally making him. I also think this really opens the door to more 616 X-Men. Bring on the whole Jim Lee Blue and Gold teams - Archangel, Beast, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Bishop, etc.
I am disappointed that they didn't show more 80s X-Factor members, since they've already done the Cyclops. I need someone to give me a red and yellow X-Factor Marvel Girl! If Hasbro isn't going to do it, I need Mafex to step up.
Heck, start in on all the 90s X teams. Gimme a classic 90s X-Factor Havok, Mafex.

New pics up showing off, among others, Captain America and Daredevil. I was on the fence about both of those from promo pics, but the in-person shots are incredible. Cap no longer looks pale as a ghost, and DD's build doesn't seem as slight. Definitely in for both!
Have you got the goods? I've seen Cap online. Nothing of Daredevil, though.

I was hoping to see Rogue on display with the rest of the X-Men.
They did have Rogue on display with the other X-Men figures. Kaiju Daddy on YouTube has a video of everything.
I'm keeping my pre-order, but I still think Rogue looks pretty disappointing.

The proportions on both comic Cap and Daredevil seem way better than their promotional pics to me. Maybe it's a result of seeing it in a different setting and they're not that different, but either way I am very in on these guys.
I'm surprised to find myself tempted by AoA Cyke and Wolverine. X-Man less so. Iceman and Jubes are obvious, and Tobey and Andrew are already ordered.
Good show, Mafex. I look forward to buying some of these in several years' time.

I'm higher on Phoenix. I especially like the shade of green and gold they're using, particularly compared to the colors on the new Hasbro Phoenix (which looks terrific overall, also). I feel like Rogue's hair and lips are too dark
And truthfully, I still wish Mafex's female bucks were just a little more shapely. I don't need them to be...bursting at the seams, but I do think they leave a little something to be desired. I understand the characters were drawn with extremely exaggerated and unrealistic proportions and physical characteristics. I don't need them to be an exact match. But it would be nice if Mafex's female bucks fell somewhere in the middle between the source material and what they have now.
I'm still getting both, and after finally pre-ordering the reissued tiger stripe Wolvie yesterday, I will now have every Mafex 616 90s X-Men with the exception of brown costume Wolverine.
On another note, I was kind of regretting pre-ordering and paying up front for that Cap, especially since I passed on Thor and Iron Man. I'm a little more enthused about Cap now that I've seen these latest pics. Daredevil looks great. Wish he was slightly bulkier, looks just a little too lithe, but overall I'm really excited about getting him in hand.
I'm particularly excited by Iceman. As other folks have mentioned, we haven't gotten a good one. Optimistic that Mafex will be the one to get him right.
A little surprised they're going deeper with the AoA X-Men. It didn't seem like those were great sellers for Hasbro to the point even they seemed to have abandoned any plans to go deeper. I would preferred Mafex went deeper with '90s X-Men villains. Would be awesome to see their take on Sinister, Apocalypse, and Sabretooth.
You're talking about classic comic book Cap, right? I'm looking at pics of him on BBTS (can't link it--guess I don't have enough mojo yet) and he's carrying it in some pics. Unless I'm misunderstanding you, IDK.

Iceman (still unpainted) - this has been my most wanted figure from any line, since Hasbro has not produced anything even remotely acceptable for a 616 Iceman, so I'm stoked. The wait will be tough.
Jubilee (already painted so will be sooner than later)
They're also showing painted versions of Nate Grey X-Man and AOA Cyclops.
Also, a bunch of MCU stuff I have no interest in - Spider-Man and Black Panther, mostly.
I assume there will be more than just this, as there is a lot more DC stuff.
Gonna definitely get Jubes and Iceman. Hopefully Mafex will give us Beast, Nightcrawler, Bishop and Colossus soon.
