DD I'm a smidge disappointed about being on the Spider-Man body as I'd ideally like him to have a bit more bulk relative to Pete, but the figure looks great and I'm sure I'll love it.
I assume folks are talking about the Symbiote body? I didn't pick up on that when I saw the figure. I wish he was a little bigger, as well, but it's a great base body.

I'm not sure to be honest, I don't have enough Mafex figures to recognize shared parts. I was going off of what MLM said earlier in the thread, which was the first I'd heard of him sharing a body with Spider-Man. I don't have symbiote Spidey, but if he is bigger than the red/blue comic version that is a plus!
Phoenix will automatically become my favorite figure as soon as she arrives. It looks perfect.

I'm admittedly not the greatest at that sort of identification, but I don't believe the Symbiote Spidey body is significantly bulkier than the regular Spider-Man. I don't have them in front of me at the moment, but if memory serves, I think Symbiote has a different torso with the logo sculpted in, but it's the same size. And it looks to me like Daredevil is on that same body. Perhaps I'm incorrect?

Amen! It's sad she doesn't come with any flame effects, but the fact we're getting her at all is so unexpected.

Far as I can tell all of the Spider-Mans are on approximately the same size body yet still don't re-use many parts. I have symbiote, scarlet, original, and Ben Reilly. Not sure how many of those re-use the same parts, but Medicom surprisingly RARELY re-uses parts even among Spider-Man figures. Most of the details are sculpted and prevent re-use, and even on some thighs or arms with no patterns where you'd think they'd re-use parts they usually don't. I'm sure there is SOME re-use, but I've mostly been unable to tell when there is.
Might be safe to assume it isn't re-use, then. As EC said, there's been precious little re-use in the Marvel/DC lines.

I'm not entirely against the Mafex DD body, but I wouldn't mind more bulk. To me, the sweet spot would have been a body like Nightwing's but just a bit taller. Well-defined muscles while not being huge.
I'll be THAT nerd again but that isn't the First Avenger Cap but rather the Smithsonian suit he steals at the end of Winter Soldier. Very similar though.
I can't really tell how thin Daredevil is compared to Spidey. I suspect he's a bit thicker, but it's hard to tell without a side-by-side comparison. I can say that very few parts look re-used given that the boots, gloves, and DD logo are all sculpted. The thighs MIGHT be, but I can't fully tell and given that they rarely re-use thighs when they easily could between Spideys my guess is they didn't use Spidey's thighs.
Murdock should be slightly bulkier than Parker, but not much more. And that might be exactly what they've achieved, we'll see once he's in hand. He may also compare very closely to Nightwing who is slightly bulkier than Spidey, but only very subtly so.
I don't think Nightwing's bulkiness compared to Peter is at all subtle. His chest is noticeably bigger, as are his biceps. The rest I'm not too sure, but those seem to be the issues people have with Daredevil for the most part.

Even though the black isn't photographing well, which is why the torso looks less noticeable, Dick's biceps are still noticeably bigger than Peter's.

I definitely agree, I just couldn't tell that from the photos before Nightwing came out. I thought he looked similar in proportion to Spider-Man just like it looks like Daredevil is, but yep, side-by-side you can tell Nightwing is definitely bulkier. I lean towards Daredevil being more like Nightwing than Spidey, but I really can't tell from the prototype.
I've already resigned myself to buying AOA Wolverine and Cyclops. Someone had a pic of an unpainted X-Man from AOA, but honestly I don't feel like the ML version was awful enough for me to warrant buying that. We'll see what the various heads/accessories look like though.
Phoenix is the first Mafex I’d ever contemplated purchasing, the deco colors are perfect and she has the Cockrum/Byrne hairstyle; seems Hasbro apparently has no interest in attempting (one of the few things aside the Phoenix stand that Toybiz nailed with her)
