What about Flatman? Not like we have any other GLA, but minus the old comic book cutout version, not one that’s going to be easy to replicate his powers.
Somewhat off topic but light backing on SDComics post, I’ve always been curious what the rights issues are like for public figures who are long gone. Like, is there a legal issue holding anyone back from making an FDR, Churchill, or any other WW2 leaders?
Add me to the list of people who would buy select US Presidents, not all but a a few.
Medusa with hair that can showcase her powers but not look weird might not be impossible but it would be pretty hard to get to look "right." That previous Medusa with the large chunk of boring was...a large chunk of boring.
As for impossible as in "we're not getting this" probably Doughboy.
For impossible from a licensing/feasibility/interest standpoint, a set of Team America members with their bikes.
However the most impossible figure must be comic accurate Spot figure. A basic all-white body with black dots all over it must be the kind of logistical challenge that makes Gods weep.
This is slightly different from the intent of this post but I can think of a figure that could be made in a way that is impossible to satisfy my vision of that character and that is classic Dracula. I'm fully aware he is dressed in all black and it even makes mention of his "raven-black cloak" or something to that effect but after reading all of the classic "Tomb of Dracula" recently I'm never going to be happy if he doesn't have an absurd amount of blue highlights. I know the highlights are why he looks like he is dressed in blue in the comics but I will never be able to see a plain black Dracula on my shelf as THE Dracula from the comics, even though I know that's what he would look like.
I would totally buy an American presidents line of action figures. I don't know that I could ever call my collection complete without a Millard Fillmore figure.
But you know Hasbro...they'd put him in a modern neck tie so we'd have to buy him again in a 2-pack with James K. Polk. Always gotta have that one flaw...
@renfield75 I am really dreading seeing the price tag on the deluxe William Howard Taft. On the bright side I hope that they are able to share parts across lines because parts of him could be used for Harry Leland to complete the Hellfire Club.

I doubt Hasblow would even bothering finding a way to include his signature bathtub.

And what a loss for play value that would be.

My brain can read that black / blue divide both ways. I never think when I'm reading a comic that WonderWoman's hair is actually blue. Though I agree, dark blue highlights would look better. The part about classic Dracula they cant really do is his insane Gene Colan inverness cape/cloak whatever they call that. The will have to just give up and go with an over the shoulder cape. Before people start screaming about cloth goods. You all know that will just look like a rumpled up dirty handkerchief at that scale.
@derrabbi Hasbro cloth goods would look like crap but some of the 3rd party people are doing wonders with capes like this.
@boy_wonder they probably wouldn’t even include an alternate battle-damaged head for JFK, even though its from his most well known appearance.
I go back and forth and back and forth about how the *necessary* and *INEVITABLE* Colan Dracula figure should look. [yes, I’m trying to manifest it]
-I definitely understand about the blue highlight issue, and I’d be down for a variation like that, but as a one-shot deal it’s got to be “dressed in black from head to foot without a speck of color about him anywhere”. Dracula is the original “wears all black” guy.
-the cape is an issue, definitely. If it was me making it, I’d go apeshit with a giant, layered plastic cape option as well as the same in soft goods and make them swappable, but I’m probably the only guy who wants to buy a super-Maximum Dracula. I do want whatever they do to at least suggest some volume and flow, like Colan drew it rather than the limp cape on the cover of ToD#1.
-he’s GOT to have two heads. I know there would probably be a push to do a modern-ish “old man long hair” head along with a classic head, but we really need an “at rest” head and an “attacking” head with open mouth and full-scleral red eyes.
-OH and he needs new-sculpted hands. Colan Dracula has these really specific, long, gnarled hands with spade-shaped fingernails. Gotta have them.
