Old thread was lost in the great board purge so I’m re-upping it, mostly since we’re getting Marvel vs Capcom figures later in the year.
I can't wait to see the MvC figures. Wild, considering I spent less than two hours playing MvC in my life. (I plan to grab the MvC collection when it goes on super sale on Steam, though.)
Blue Venom appeals to me in ways that the black version doesn't. I can't explain it.
A couple of those new Spider-Man figures are kinda nice, but I'm not really the market for video game-based Marvel stuff. HOWEVER, if they did a deluxe figure of the x-treme Lizard design from the PS5 Spider-Man 2...
Gamerverse 2099 Miles looks like an awesome design. It was sculpted by Always Bumping on Instagram. He sculpted a lot of my favorite Iron Man figures!
It's a REALLY cool design.
Got my order in for my Spirit Spider... love that look.
Kingpin goes up for order this week. I luke the look of black suit Kingpin so am eager to order.
Is Gamerverse only for Spidey VG figs or for any? Cosmic Invasion just got announced and includes Phyla-Vell in the line-up! That's a surprise.
Hopefully it means a figure is coming soon! And has Nova always had a ponytail? I thought it was a teeny cape at first.
Got most of the wave today from EBGames (formerly GameStop) here in Canada. While I honestly don't care for the Miles extra costumes at all - they are decent figures. The Brooklyn 2099 especially is a fantastic new figure. Great sculpt, awesome articulation. Don't care about the look or costume from the game. Black Cat is also nice, as is the symbiote Spider-Man. I've said it before, but with the unique sculpting work some of these figures have gotten - to not have a dedicated Advance Suit Spider-Man is a real miss. Give it the texture and slightly raised weblines and paint apps that the new Advance Suit Miles has, and you've got an absolute winner release. It's genuinely baffling why they haven't released something that would fit in aesthetically with the rest of the Playstation gamer Spider-Man figures.
Super glad the thread is back, I love the Gamerverse range! The Spider-Man figs planned for early 2025 look really solid, especially with the new articulated bodies. And the announcement of Marvel vs Capcom, it's downright fire for fans of retro fighting. I hope we'll see some X-Men vs SF in the future too. Highly recommended!
I'm more interested in getting more marvel legends figures of past marvel games.
Hulk (2003)

Incredible Hulk : Ultimate Destruction
Mercy
Incredible Hulk (2008)
Bi-Beast
Vector

Ironclad
X-Men Legends 1

Ghost Rider (2007)

Blackout
^ might be the quickest way to close out some key Hulk villains, like Madman and the U-Foes.
I would be against this if the U-Foes and Bi-Beast being delivered only in this way if they were given a game accurate skin that strayed too far from the comic aesthetic - that would be a crappy way to get those characters if that was the only shot at them.
The Bi-Beast and Iron Clad that were made in the previous game adjacent 5 inch-ish line were a little farther from the comic aesthetic than I would prefer.
So, I wouldn't be opposed to game inspired lines delivering these kinds of characters in comic aesthetic figures. But if it's game screen accurate representations then that doesn't solve any problem for me - it's just extra stuff that I won't particularly care about.
Would you prefer comic book versions of these characters after the video game versions are made? We had some comic versions of Ronan the Accuser and Yondu made after their MCU counterpart were made.I would be against this if the U-Foes and Bi-Beast being delivered only in this way if they were given a game accurate skin that strayed too far from the comic aesthetic - that would be a crappy way to get those characters if that was the only shot at them.
