1. Iron Fist
2. Count Nefaria
3. Jack-O-Lantern
4. Whiplash
5. Venom (retro card)
6. Sabretooth (2-pack)
7. Tombstone
8. Scarlet Spider
9. Ka-Zar
10. Angel
Honorable mentions: Phoenix (deluxe) and Quicksilver (green)
I don't have Colossus or Wolverine yet so I can't finish my lists. Still need to sort through the year's figures either way. I'm guessing Deadpool is too similar to the 2-pack release to be objectively great so I'm skipping him, but if anyone thinks he's a massive upgrade please do share. Right now he mostly looks like the 2-pack but pinless with a few other miscellaneous minor upgrades.
The hardest thing about making these lists is trying to remember which figures came out this year, and not last year. That's always a problem for me.

I used www.actionfigure411.com as my reference to remind me which figures came out in each year. There are lots of other websites that track them by year also. The hot new one that everyone seems to reference these days is legendsverse.com. I haven't used that site much yet myself but I've seen several "influencers" reference it like Nerdzoic, Shartimus and Displaying Model Behavior, among others.
Cable and Power Princess
I forgot Power Princess was this year. I might consider adding her to my list, she’s a great figure.
There was someone on here who was offering me the Void legs that she came with, but I can’t remember who without private messages. I’m still looking for those legs!

For me my favorite figures from this year were:
- Secret Wars Spider-Man

- Carnage (movie) - was a nice surprise and very well done figure
- Nick Fury
- Iron Mark Model 20
- Scarlet Spider

I'm a regular legendsverse simp. I didn't realize the "influencer" community had caught on to it - much deserved in my opinion.
My turn!
1. Deluxe Phoenix
2. Lilandra
3. Lady Mandarin Psylocke
4. Sabretooth
5. Deluxe Angel
6. Crystal
7. Destiny
8. Warbird
9. Ka-Zar
10. Cable
Phoenix, Angel, Lilandra, Power Princess, Luke Cage, Wolverine (Deadpool & Wolverine), Cable, Warbird, Wolverine (Astonishing), Odin.
I finally opened up the last figures of the year so I think this is as official as it gets:
Giant Man
Crystar
Beyonder
Titania
She-Hulk
Bushwacker
DP vs W Colossus
Count Nefaria
Death's Head
Odin
I opened my last few for the year. Titania and Bushwhacker have enough new sculpt to warrant the list. Lockjaw wins for articulated tail nubbin alone.
My favorite Legends figure of 2024 is Jack O'Lantern.
They didn't have to, but they went so hard on this beloved yet honestly 3rd string character. New scale chest armor, translucent flames, pumpkin bombs he can hold OR wear, pogo-platform that adjusts for standing on a shelf.
I could not stop playing with this figure until I finally had to put him on the shelf. He's so good.
Here are my top Marvel Legends for 2024 in order of quality. I’ve had all of these on my desk for most of the past month to make sure I felt good about how I was ranking them while also double-checking against the 2024 figures at the LegendsVerse web site to make sure I didn't forget any.
As always I make an objective list that ignores my personal preference as much as possible and focuses on the quality of the figures followed by my subjective list of the figures I personally liked the best that is highly driven by my bias towards characters or other design elements I prefer. I started with a list of forty or so figures and narrowed it down to these twenty, so consider numbers 11 through 20 honorable mentions.
- Giant-Man - The worst of the three completed Marvel Haslabs so far, but still easily the best Legends figure of 2024. Maybe the best articulation in any figure of this size to date, and it’s FAR better than either the Sentinel or Galactus for articulation in terms of range of motion and achievable balance at a variety of ranges. The head sculpts are great, although some people think they’re too far into the Uncanny Valley and look creepy. The hands are much too difficult to articulate due to weak plastic quality. Overall still just a great figure no matter how you slice the pros and cons.
- Sony Carnage - The best use of bendy wires to date. They’re challenging to position, but it’s quite possible and fun to work towards. Incredible sculpt and coloring, and a great set of accessories. This would have made my subjective list, but I have the Figuarts version of this figure and prefer it to the Legends version, although not by much as both figures are excellent. I only prefer the Figuarts because the hands and tentacle ends are swappable, plus the ball-jointed tentacles are much easier to work with than the Legends bendy wires.
- Odin - One of the best sculpts and paint jobs Hasbro has done in years. The three alternate heads of wildly different design take it over the top. A return to soft goods that is done impeccably well here.
- MCU Wolverine - Might have the best unmasked actor likeness of any head sculpt by Hasbro ever. Costume looks great, and the all-new sculpt has decent articulation.
- Astonishing Wolverine - Hasbro’s best comic Wolverine to date. I’m really surprised at how much they’re able to tweak and improve their Wolverine sculpt over the years. Great claws, awesome articulation, and great aesthetics.
- Ghost Rider - A nice upgrade over the Johnny Blaze cycle from 2018. The cycle looks great, and the figure is the best Ghost Rider we’ve seen to date.
- Sony Doc Ock - This could have been figure of the year or perhaps a runner-up to Giant-Man, but the engineering on the tentacles isn’t quite there. The figure is above average, although the face sculpt is fantastic and looks just like Alfred Molina. The tentacles are Hasbro’s best effort to date, but they’re incredibly stiff. They’re so stiff that they scream for you to push really hard to bend them, but if you do that without anchoring where they attach at the back it’s fairly easy to rip them right out. When you do learn to manipulate the tentacles they’re great. He can easily balance on three, and two is possible as well. Aesthetically the tentacles are great, and the three different pincer styles are nicely designed.
- Warbird - Great re-use of the Black Widow body with awesome head sculpts and a great overall aesthetic.
- Hulkbuster - Very well-executed version of the modern comic version. Surprisingly good articulation, and the sculpt is impressive.
- Lady Mandarin Psylocke - Not sure why they spent so much new sculpt budget on a short-lived version of Psylocke, but I’ll take it. Great head sculpts, plenty of unique sculpting that looks great, and a terrific action cape.
- Zabu - Possibly the best-articulated animal figure ever made in twelfth scale.
- Cable - Perfect translation of the Capcom version of the character.
- Power Princess - Incredibly well done for such an unpopular character. Would have been top ten if not for gumminess in her legs that makes her unnecessarily challenging to stand in most poses.
- Deadpool Colossus - Looks just like the CGI character from the films. Best articulation range of any Colossus figure in twelfth scale to date.
- She-Hulk - Really nice rendering of the character with lots of unique sculpting and an awesome head sculpt.
- Superior Spider-Man - Really nice re-use of the Renew Your Vows sculpt. The mechanical legs are executed about as well as the great Iron Spider figure from a few years ago, but this time every joint is articulated. The mechanical legs are a bit stronger than previous versions and can hold the figure up in some poses.
- Phoenix and Phoenix Force - The Jean figure is just an OK translation to the superb Black Widow body, but the Phoenix Force is sensationally done and a great diorama figure stand.
- Titania - Very nice original sculpt making for a great translation of the character.
- Lilandra - Fairly simple figure that is very elegantly done. A surprising amount of unique sculpt to complete the armor designs, a great action cape, and really well done head sculpts make her an exceptional effort.
- Sabertooth - Mostly a re-use of the very appropriate Omega Red body, but the head sculpts and mane design make him by far the best Sabertooth figure Hasbro has ever done.
Here's my list of subjective favorites. Several of these aren't at all innovative, but I just love them more for whatever reason.
- Deadpool Colossus
- Cable
- Giant-Man
- Sabertooth
- Zabu
- Warbird
- VHS Daredevil - Mostly the same as the 3-pack Daredevil, but this one has cel shading and a really good screaming head sculpt. I almost skipped this one, but Daredevil is so often drawn with cel shading in the comics that I ended up loving the paint job whereas I usually dislike cel shading.
- Goblin Queen - Really nice sculpt and paint. Looks like she stepped right off of an X-Men ‘97 television screen.
- Odin
- Hulkbuster
Here's some posing I did of most of the figures from these lists while deciding which were the best.
