I don't think I picked up on him being a last-minute addition by the 615 (love that) Eternity into the burgeoning 616. I saw that too and someone confirmed it was by a guy who does mock-ups and not real.
I can't remember his name at the moment, but I follow the page, and yeah, I've been fooled by him one (or ten) too many times. He's quite talented, and seems to know exactly what the fans want. I saw at least a mock up of Reed and Johnny the other day, and they looked fantastic (pun intended). I still get that moment of excitement whenever I see his posts, but I'm starting to be able to detect his stuff because, not to be mean to Hasbro, but it's almost too good- in a way that they rarely, if ever, give us.
Johnny really fooled me! Hasbro has some competition to design better packaging. 🙂
I think that this same guy got me with a What If Kahhori shortly after season 2 of that show aired. I STILL want that figure that he showed more than a year later.

I think, if the rumors are true, the only figure I might pick up from this line is the Silver Surfer if the character is indeed female. I can easily shelfcanon her into being a different character and display her with the other Heralds. I've done that with the Singularity figure (I have an entirely different headcanon for her), so why not?

Why would you need to shelf-canon her? She's Shalla-Bal, and Stan could have easily made it her who sacrificed herself instead of Norrin Radd. This alternate universe version of Shalla-Bal is probably the only version of her we'll ever get.
And I call her an alternate universe version because that's the only thing I can think of that explains how the 1960s Fantastic Four will get over to the modern day of the MCU-616 universe.

Franklin, Galactus, and the multiverse may all tie together to get them into the main continuity just in time for Secret Wars!
Man, I really hope Bandai or Medicom do figures for this because a properly spangly painted Silver Surfer, even if it is Shalla, would be awesome.
(plus I refuse to open Galactus until I have a dope FF to go with him!)
