Cabal 3-pack

Taskmaster looks real nice. I like the retro Doom more and don’t need Norman, but it being a 3 pack at least makes it more likely that at some point I’ll justify buying these just for TM. 

Although I’ll probably try and swap Doom’s cloth cape onto the retro one. That thing is such a block that makes him so hard to stand. 

Hasbro are pissing off the anti-fabric cape crowd increasingly and it's delicious.

I was iffy on if I'd need this or not, but the cloth cape is a nice alternative to the version I already have for Doom, I do like the improved buck for Taskmaster, and I don't actually have an Iron Patriot, so I think this one might get me. I was worried it'd be a five-pack with four characters I already have, nice to see it's an upgrade overall. 

Iron Patriot does make me hope they'll end up pushing out a Karla Sofen Ms. Marvel at some point soon. Feels like a figure that would sell well (and we know we've got that new Carol buck incoming, bet there's reuse galore there). 

The Doombot head might tip me into buying this.

Finally, Tasky on a an appropriate body! And he looks super-scary. Norman is everything I’d want from this look. And Doom? Well, he’s my guy, and this looks amazing, and cloth cape and a Doombot head?

I think I need three sets.

Taskmaster is the only tempting part of that set, but truthfully I'm perfectly happy with the Doom and Taskmaster I have already, and don't give two craps about Osborn/Iron Patriot. So for me, at least, this'll be $75 saved.

Yeah....   I have good Dr. Doom figures already and I'm not a cloth cape guy so that's a minus not a plus.   The Taskmaster does look good but not so signficantly better than the version I already have that I need to spend full price on this.    And I'll be honest Iron Patriot was never my favorite development in the comics either -  so while the figure is probably better than the Iron Patirot already on my shelf maybe not enough to drop the $75 for this pack.   

I guess I'll wait and see and if it eventually hits a lower price like many of these Amazon packs do, I'll bite and if not I'll live happily with the versions of these characters I already have.    Which is probably the way an exclusive multi-pack should be, frankly.

This a tough one. TM is one of my top 5 favorite characters along with Doom.

I'm tired of rebuying figures I have that were fine before. I'm fine with the old TM, and I just got the Mezzco Doom, had the retro Doom, have the SS wave Doom still...

Iron Patriot is stretching the limits of my Marvel collection's parameters.

I can definitely commiserate with not digging the actual stories/situations that spawned Iron Patriot, and from an actual character perspective Norman should always be the Goblin (or, heh, dead), buuuuuut I love the visual concept of an evil “patriotic” Iron Man, and the idea of a psychopathic business bro seizing power behind a false mask of flag-waving patriotism while not-so-secretly being a destructive fascist feels, well, relevant at this particular point in history.
At any rate, Iron Patriot looks cool, and I am very excited to have various heroes pound the crap out of him.

Very nice looking. If I was a comic figure guy, I wouldn't hesitate. As it is, I wish IP was more movie passable. And I would keep Taskmaster as well, but already have a Doom that passes for live action to my eye. Ah well, sticking with my Mark 3 repaint for now and holding out for the Thunderbolts Taskmaster figure.

I'm 100% in for this set. Likely multiples. And with it being Amazon exclusive, there's a very good chance it will at least be periodically discounted. I think the characters are popular enough that it may not make it to clearance prices.

I'm on the fence here. I penciled myself in for this set when we thought it included Loki (assuming it was an upgrade on the MS figure I currently use in my display). The bigger draw is actually Doom. I foolishly sold my Dr. Doom with a custom soft goods cape for the Mezco version last year. I could go on a 25-minute rant about the Mezco figure, but suffice to say, I didn't like it. After four years of a perfect Doom in my collection, I'm in the market for a new one.

When I saw this set this morning, I thought I wouldn't have any trouble picking up a spare Doom on eBay or via trade. Given the reaction in this thread (and the Doombot head), I'm not so sure.

Strange call by Hasbro to give Doom a soft goods cape but stick Taskmaster with traditional plastic.

I also hope this means a single-carded classic Loki is on the way.

But which gender would a Cabal Loki be?
