Shit, that Mole Man Monster needs to be a BAF.  Probably need to spread it out across 3 waves with some figures coming with just a forearm, lol.

Yes, FF #1 is the first Marvel comic.  Stan was calling it Marvel from that issue on, and they put "MC" on the cover to designate that as you can see in the following pic below the comics code symbol and above the 10 cents box in the upper right.

Correction--the first comic released under the Marvel Comics brand wasn't FF #1, it was Journey Into Mystery #69 shown below that came out several months before FF #1.  JiM #69 is cover dated June 1961 and FF #1 is cover dated November 1961.  You can see on the CGC label they also identify this as the first comic with the MC logo on the cover.

Either way FF #1 is when Marvel as a brand reinvents itself.

Either way FF #1 is when Marvel as a brand reinvents itself. Something they were probably barely aware of at the time. They thought they were just trying something new / old and seeing if it stuck. The majority of their line was still romance and monster books for a time.

So BAF 99 is Blackheart! Looks like there's a good chance we'll learn who #100 is at SDCC next month.

Smokescreen should be the 100th BAF. 😉 😛 lol https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Smokescreen_(Criminal)_(Earth-616)

Ha! Heck yeah, I’d take him. Any villain whose powers could appear to be some aspect of the Darkforce are more than welcome.

Um, I'm pretty sure his powers come from eating bean burritos.

Smokescreen was able to emit (it is not known whether through personal powers or the use of technology) thick black smoke capable of blinding and suffocating his opponents.

I'm expecting that 100th BAF falling in the Secret Wars wave, so maybe a version of Beyonder? Or an oversized Doom?

Beyond the BAF, I'd consider black suit Spidey and brown suit Wolvie to be locks for that wave, but "beyond" that they could do just about anybody from that storyline. I really doubt they'd give us a new Molecule Man so soon again, though. It would seem like a good time to give us an updated Wrecking Crew - but somehow I really doubt that. It feels like that would need to be a box set. Absorbing Man could even be a BAF again, I guess - but I'd hope that they wouldn't do that again.

The other possibility is that there is a BAF in the Deadpool/Wolverine movie wave. If Colossus is expected to be a deluxe, maybe movie Juggernaut (the Ryan Reynolds one, not the Vin Jones one)?

Lockjaw is a perfect choice for BAF #100, though I'd like him to look a lot less like Jake from Adventure Time.

😮 I too, have that power. 😀 Even more of a reason to get him in toy, then. 😉 lol

Huh, wow, I thought there were more than 100 BAFs, cool. My vote is for Lockjaw. Lockjaw would make a great and inspiring 100th BAF.

I do hope that Hasbro gets around to making Lockjaw at some point, along with the rest of the remaining members of the Inhuman royal family, but I'm also very happy with the Mezco version. It's the only Mezco 1:12 figure that I've ever bought and it's fantastic.

Lockjaw ftw!

i know they like to redo older offerings…are there any old BaFs (or bigger figures like Blackheart that might qualify as BaFs today) that they might want to improve for BaF 100?

Fin Fang Foom is the only one that comes to mind, but he’s way too big under today’s business model. Maybe a HasLab, but not a BaF.
