OK... I was going to call out Gargoyle for being in here - because I was like Avengers when? But I try to be responsible, so I looked it up and apparently in 2008 Gargoyle became a regular in Avengers: The Initiative.
So while he certainly isn't a character I would first associate with the Avengers, apparently he fits.
6. Attuma
This is a great list, and I'd take every single figure here. But, I will be *that guy* and point out that this picture is of Tyrak (another Atlantean Avengers Adversary) and not Attuma. I'd absolutely take a figure of both, though!
Thanks for pointing that out. The funny thing is the image is correct, and it's the character's name that I got wrong. It's actually Tyrak that I want as a figure. Avengers #172 is one of my favorite battle issues, and it was against Tyrak, (who I mistakingly remembered as being Attuma). So, I fixed it in my original post.
Also, I'm seeing Stingray on a lot of people's lists. While he's a cool looking character, there's no way Hasbro would ever be able to get is underarm wings to look like they do in the comics. They can barely get Falcon, Vulture and Black Bolt's underarm wings to look halfway decent, and they are much smaller than Stingray's. That's one of the reasons he didn't make my list. I'm afraid he'd just be a huge disappointment.
I figured you knew who it was! I'd honestly love to get a figure too. Is this the issue where he infiltrates the Avengers disguised as Triton? Seems like they could share some parts - though Tyrak does look a lot bigger than I normally picture Triton.
I was originally referring to Avengers #172, where Tyrak attacks the harbor and a bunch of Avengers show up and a major battle ensues.
It was a really fun issue. One of my favorites growing up. I didn't even know who Tyrak was at the time, but I thought he was cool because he held his own against a team of Avengers that included Wonder Man, The Vision, The Scarlet Witch and Ms. Marvel. Here's a reproduction of the cover I did several years ago.

well there's never going to be a "Defenders" or "Champions" wave... so they'd be folded in just as much as a "Young Avengers" wave would be... i'd also fold The Runaways into the avengers IP personally.
OK, I'm gonna alter this and any future 'Just For Fun" threads that have gigantic casts like the X-Men.
Instead of just one composite Top 10, let's do Top 10 Heroes and Top 10 Villains.
If you'd like to alter your vote - go for it! I'm gonna alter mine right now.
Which thread will this be? Heroes, I assume?
Here is my Top 10 Avengers Villain list. I altered my initial post to just be heroes.
