Selling the BAF Holocaust a year or two ago was a gamble that hasn't paid off. I'm very excited for the new BAF but still need the AoA version too. It's definitely unlikely they'll make another in the year or two after this one comes out - hopefullyi they'll keep drip-feeding us AoA designs over the next few years, and AoA Holocaust can remain on the table.
@normdapito His helmet/canopy cracked on mine with the quickness and no force applied. It fits on fine, thankfully, but no open helmet look for me. Not that I'd ever leave him that way.
The BAF is badass, but yeah I'm hungry for the original now that we're getting a closer to full AoA roster. I just don't see it happening. Maybe I track down the old ones from the dark times.
I'm gonna call it though - Mafex Holocaust! They're doing the line and deluxe size figures now, would be an easy pick to me.
Honestly I don't ever buy Mafex figures - but if they did an AoA Holocaust figure I would pull the trigger. The original Hasbro figure - while fun for it's day - definitely shows it's age a bit. An updated version would be welcome and while Mafex figures have often been a little on the small side to fit well with Legends for an oversize character it would probably be fine. Now I'm hoping this happens.
My only gripe about the original Holocaust BAF is those dated ankles. The kind that pin into the shins and do not rock. So antiquated.

Definitely best wishes @tenime! Good luck, my friend. I've been there and wish you the very best. I know that it's tough out there. My youngest son graduated from college last May, has applied for hundreds of jobs and still hasn't found anything. The difference is of course that he's a 21-year old kid that can still live with me and has next to no bills. I'm sure that's not true for you or most others in the same situation.
Evidently this wave is starting to hit now also in addition to the Retro Spider-Man wave. The Canadian etailers (like CMD Store) already have it in stock. ToySnowman even has the BAF for sale alone (for $113) and they're offering the figures with the BAF part removed for as low as $15 (but in fairness those still say pre-order?).
Well. This wave was in-stock on CMDStore and it was my birthday last week, so I said “what the hell” and ordered it. Been a few days, label created but not shipped. Checked the site today and:
