I think they refer to that as "reopened" with pre-orders since stock in that context tends to refer to physical product on hand.
Makes sense. I wonder if BBTS is seeing a larger rush of orders now that folks are picking up that comic BAF waves by and large are not available at retail.

I’m excited to get this wave, but I didn’t want to pay above the Pulse price. I like the wave, but I’m primarily interested in the BAF Nemesis/Genocide.
A lot of folks complained about the Uncanny X-Force BAF in the lead-up to this wave, but nobody is looking to offload it now.
I dunno about that. It looks cool for what it is. I might even keep mine just play around with it, or sell it if I don't feel like it's really needed. I think it's mostly a case of "we have to sell you this modern version before we sell you the version you really wanted." It's a cool looking figure, just not anything I'm super tied to. I kept Ch'od solely because despite being inaccurate in major ways and having next to no paint, there's little likelihood that they'll remake it properly any time soon. By contrast, this BAF is far more accurate to the material at least.
I don't think they're gonna remake the original AoA Holocaust. Not for a long time after this one.
Agreed - I think you have to make do with that old BaF or pretend this new version works. I sincerely doubt they are going to invest in the tooling required to re-do the other version anytime soon - especially with the name headache as well.
These aren't even technically the same character, right? Isn't the new BAF the Earth-616 Genocide whereas the original is the AOA Earth-295 version Holocaust? I know that they're both supposed to be different versions of William Rolfson.
I fully intend to keep both. The AOA figures are one of the few times I keep alternate versions of characters. I don't usually do that. I'm one of those that generally only likes to even keep one costume (so 1 total figure) for each character. The only other exception that I make is probably the Spider-verse stuff. I'll buy each and every unique character that they make, but generally hate having multiple versions of any one character.
Although like many, the canopy on my AOA version of Holocaust is broken. 😒 😒
My BAF Holocaust helmet is still 100% intact and functional. Not sure how I got blessed with that. It was never my favorite BAF, but man, for the time it was made, it had really great execution. That translucent yellow and orange plastic, the scorched skull under the helmet, the cannon arm. It was a bad ass figure, and still is. But the colors make it kinda gaudy. This new one looks appropriately like a furnace housing an inferno.
