The Avengers aren't going anywhere.  The X-Men are getting love again and that's good for me.  But with the new Ultimate line that's rumored I expect some Avengers in there.  Maybe an Iron Man with removable armor(s)?  I could see a new Thor going in there for an updated Coipel look.  Winter Soldier with an arsenal and dedicated body etc.

That Anniversary line was weak.  2024 was pretty amazing.  The Iron Man retro series and the 85th Program were amazing and included Avengers so I hardly see a problem.  I do think Hulk is criminally underrepresented though.  A Hulk comic wave, at higher prices like in 2008 if necessary, would be very welcome I think.  But I guess they have reason to believe otherwise.

I mean the main reason for lower levels of Hulk product is the lack of media things with "Hulk" in the title and perhaps higher tooling costs for more unique body types.

Spider-Man Unlimited reminds me how badly we need an upgraded Spider-Man 2099 on a new pinless body.

Hope this isnt too off topic, Is the Kingpin figure on the retro card the one that is meant to work with the professor x shadow king head pack in?

I think it was intended for the BAF - the colors on that match Shadow King better than the retro card version. The head will fit on either, though.

Someone added the hands from the monster Venom BAF and it looked great. I was only ever to track down one to add to him.

Caliban's hands work too, and they're a lot easier to procure.

I personally like the Shadow King head on the Joe Fixit BAF body better than the Kingpin BAF, but they both work.

How is Agent Venom already sold out on BBTS and Amazon? He wasn’t that popular, jeez.

Venom with guns is catnip for action figure collectors.

I mean - from the characters offered in this line up -  we have a relative newcomer to the Spider-Man space in Spider-Boy,   we have the relatively forgotten Spider-Man Unlimited look,  Kaine who is from a storyline that's more than 25 years old,  Electro - who is a girl, so eww ick can't sell out,  Chameleon an admittedly needed cartoon villain, but let's be honest, not the most popular villain from that show...  or the kewl looking venom with the leather jacket and guns.     It's not like it was the stiffest competition in this wave to be "the hot one" - and this one had more going for it than the others.

For what it's worth, Kaine and Chameleon sold out almost instantly on pulse. Minutes after they first went up last week.

Yeah... Pulse sell outs don't mean much on these pre-orders though... they always put up a limited fixed number.   It's usually much more telling for Amazon and BBTS to sell out of a pre-order.

But hey, I pre-ordered the entire wave... I love all of the children the same  😉

@supreme_d uh yeah he was.  And it's been a decade since his only (mediocre) figure.

I didn't realize how popular Agent Venom was until the Amazing Yamaguchi figure sold out and hit high aftermarket prices pretty quickly. It helps that the figure itself is pretty amazing, but I was surprised by that.

I think Venom has kinda comfortably slid into A-list.  I felt there was a stretch not long ago where his comics were more interesting and liked than Spider-man himself and were surefire hits for Legends.  Flash Venom is a unique look compared to the usual symbiotes and is a character that's probably more relatable than your average alien slime creature 😀

That was an era (2012 - 2013) where I was coming around on Marvel again, the first Avengers movie hit big and Art Adams had sick covers.  I will be glad to get him and relive that a bit.  Probably get one to keep on card too.
