I was kinda thrown off by Agent Venom's slimmer size at first, but looking closer I think he's based specifically on the art of Declan Shalvey.
This means he's going to pair perfectly with Mania!
There’s one guy here who really wanted that animated Chameleon. I hope they feel fulfilled.
I’m not super excited for any of these, but I’m happy to pick them up. There’s a place in my collection for all of them.
Legit question- I remember the Clone Saga being pretty universally hated, but there is clearly a lot of love for Ben Reilly and Kaine. Was there a later story that "rehabbed" these characters or are my memories off? Or did it gain more fanship after the initial poor reception? I stopped reading comics from 1993-1998 so it's a blind spot for me.Â
I'm the wrong guy to answer - since I haven't actively read Spider-Man books (outside of Untold Tales by Busiek) in decades - but I suspect that it's partly just that those characters get shinier with nostalgia.  There have been ALOT of clones since Ben and Kaine, so those guys seem way less offensive now than they did then.  Also all of the kids who began reading comics when those stories first came out 25 years ago are adults now who have a genuine nostalgic fondness for those books.  Â

I don't think Ben Reilly was ever hated so much as the story surrounding him was. I bet if they didn't try to say that Ben was the original Peter Parker the whole time, the Clone Saga would have been easier for longtime fans to swallow. That was the sticking point. Ben himself was actually kinda refreshing in an era where Peter's arc was teetering closer and closer towards typical '90s grimdarkness.
As for Kaine, he got rehabbed around the 2010s when he became the new Scarlet Spider, albeit as an anti-hero rather than a villain and with a completely different design. I think people just wanted this Kaine specifically since, for better or worse, he was pushed heavily in this period and is one of the more notable gaps because of that. The design is also pretty cool, in an overtly '90s sort of fashion.

I'm in for Kaine and Electro and since Hasbro scans these forums:Â I'm patiently waiting for VERMIN, CARRION and CALYPSO.
Thanks, @panthercult and @vondoom! Though I have a secondhand negative association with that storyline, I'm talking myself into picking up the Kaine. It's such a nice looking figure. Maybe I'll read some of the later stories featuring Kaine to "justify" (to my weird brain) buying it.Â
Well these all look great. Happy for those who want them. But as a big classic Spidey fan, there is nothing here for me. Maybe I'll pick up Kaine if I can find him in the wild on sale some day. Maybe...

Not sure if you’re talking about me, but I’m definitely a fan of this release! Figure looks great. Only bummer is that they didn’t use it as an opportunity to add another character’s head in that hasn’t been done before.
