Archangel does seem like the best fit for what Dwight teased. My guess when I first saw it was that they were for an updated Longshot. However, seeing how he just recently came out a few times and that retro carded figure is on sale everywhere, I don't see them doing him anytime soon.

Ryan's tease has me a tad worried that the rumored Adam Warlock isn't the classic one but an updated Infinity Watch version. I'll probably still buy it because I'm such an Adam Warlock fan, but I still want a classic Starlin version.

Dan's is just too generic to even hazard a guess.

This thread is interesting - I just think Marvel is now such an enormous brand covering so many decades, artists and now media they have an impossible job.  The team is great - I really enjoyed their banter yesterday.  I am definitely hooked in since some of my favorite eras and characters are getting love.  I do think if they pushed out a Thor set soon it might help quiet some of the complaints.  But again, I would think the Inhumans getting love after all this time would make some folks happy.  What was shown yesterday is awesome and I don't need an attachment to a specific story to know Nemesis(Holocaust) is a winning figure.  That's one with shelf presence.  As a Transformers fan they have (and continue making) delivered dream figures I never thought I would see to the point I am now excited for concepts I never heard like 13 Primes.

So maybe completing teams will win over some people....but I do think some people are just kind of addicted to be grumpy to put it nicely.  Not saying anyone here, just thinking of the overall scope of collecting like Transformers for instance.

Also, throwing my hat in the ring - that weird piece is shrapnel from a destroyed missile that comes with the new Hulk.  Just a shot.

Ugh. That would be awful. They made one of those already. Its also a pretty dull design.

I need both Warlocks. I think I might actually like the 90s/Infinity Watch version more as a design, but I want classic 70s version more because of the era.

I wonder if - and if so, how - they have an internal classification system of characters they've yet to get to. Obviously a lot more goes into the decision-making besides "Who's next?" like budget, tie-ins, etc - but it'd be interesting to know if there is a priority list of characters they try to get to if they're able to make it work. We know they're aware of the ones that we make a lot of noise about (Rachel, Feral, NWH Electro, etc) but I wonder if there's an actual list they work from.

Rumor/leak is that Adam Warlock comes with a mini comic of Infinity Gauntlet #1.

This is the costume he wore in that story.

If the figures in this wave (Banshee, Miles, etc.) were made to match the specific storyline of the mini comic they are packaged with, we may have our answer.

That's my preferred version, hopefully they actually make him golden skinned, this time, and not Caucasian, like the last time they made that version. 😛 Also, I hope that IF he comes with the Infinity Gauntlet, like the last one, it's swappable, not permanently attached to his hand/arm. 😛 lol

It would be a long list haha.  We know they're in tune with the community but I wonder if thefwoosh is low on the totem now?  However artists can't simply work off lists and fan votes. It's too "by the numbers", they would instead need to follow passions and what might be cool as well.  Then there's Disney.  I do hope though that next year sees some teams completed to get it done with.

Also, and this is because I'm a Transformers fan, wave decisions are made for things we don't always think about - like colors.  If they do one purple Transformer, they might go with other colors the rest of the wave.  They had a Legends-esque line the last few years balancing eras, but that's over with now.  Legends has to juggle a lot I think.

I’d be down for this, as he’d got great with the Infinity Gauntlet Thanos.

Related, I hope the figures aren’t strictly tied to the comic, as I really want the new Miles Morales to come with his sword.

The colors thing totally rings true. Seeing the whole wave together with a diverse color palette is a similar sensation to seeing a well composed comic cover - I have no problem admitting that part of what draws me to comics and superheroes are the pretty colors.

I hope Fwoosh is still on their radar as a source of inspiration. The community definitely feels like its dwindled since the refresh a year+ ago, but it's still the best place to talk ML. We'll make sure they see our Top 10 again next year!

If Banshee is in his classic green (finally!) what comic should he come with?

Agreed. Really hope we get the red and gold rather than another stab at the black costume. Adam is one of my most anticipated figures of the year, but only if they do him right this time. I’d probably skip Infinity Adam altogether and keep my custom (made from the last IW Adam).

On the one hand, black suit would match the rumoured comic cover, and seems like a better fit for the staff. But if they’re rumouring Magus too, the classic suit is a straight palette swap for that, so it might be a Hasbro-friendly bit of reuse.

If this was McFarlane Toys they would do both and the one you want would be the purposefully-hard-to-find platinum.
