So,   I think -  they may actually do a mixed wave of movie and comic characters for the FF film -   I think there's a chance they do Reed, Sue, Johnny and maybe Silver Surfer movie figures in the wave - with either movie Thing as the BAF or a separate Deluxe release - and then they mix in two or three non-movie FF characters.    Probably She-Hulk in her FF costume for a super easy repaint,  probably with new smoother hair sculpt - if not an entirely new head -  and then some classic FF characters.  I would have guessed an Inhuman, but those are rumored to be coming in two packs so maybe finally comic Attuma?  Maybe something else low tool like Mad Thinker or Red Ghost?   Dare I dream about something as out of the box as Diablo... or maybe finally a classic Blastaar?

Maybe they go full movie wave -  but it wouldn't shock me, with a brand new, unproven movie and cast if they didn't hedge their bets with a mixed BaF wave approach.

@stephenwdavis I would be surprised if we didn't see some comic stuff. maybe not a whole wave but some kind of deluxe figures or fan channel or store exclusives like we did with Cap this year which was when Brave New World was originally supposed to come out. I could see some kind of deluxe comic Reed Richards with all kinds of stretchy limbs included and stuff like that. I hope so at least. I quit buying MCU stuff and sold off what I had as I prefer comic related more. We shall see.

Yes, while there’s been the debate recently about Hasbro’s guidelines regarding comic and MCU confusion, it’s worth pointing out that doesn’t seem to apply to main characters.

We got multiple comic Wolverines this year despite also having the MCU version, and the year before that we got  classic Star-Lord, and the year before that classic Doctor Strange, both in addition to the requisite MCU versions. Classic and MCU Monica Rambeau too and a ton of Spider-Man variants whenever Peter and Miles have a new movie or video game out. Probably a bunch of other examples I’m blanking on right now too.

So I don’t think there’d be anything stopping Hasbro from doing comic Fantastic Four figures as exclusives or in a box set or something, even if the MCU versions will most likely be the only FF Build-a-Figure wave.

I say again, if Thing is a BAF, I'll skip that wave. Not hyperbole.

@sgtstinky I'll be curious to see just how much comic FF love happens due to the movie.  Or will we just be stuck with a ton of MCU FF product with no comic items.  Certainly, we'll get something comic based.  The classic, Kirby uniformed FF could use a redo at least.

Awesome Android is also a very obvious BAF choice.

Or...Awesome Android is a preorder figure, like Dragon Man.  He'd need to be bigger than most BAFs.

We're supposedly getting 2 Inhumans 2pks next year, which are FF related.  I can see a couple of retro card characters, like the rumored FF She-Hulk, and maybe another character like a Reed variant or the Wizard as well.   It's been a good long while since the FF themselves were split up over multiple waves, so a MCU FF wave would likely have 4 of the 6/7 slots taken up by the MCU FF themselves.   And then in 2026, we get another comic FF wave with a BAF.  Something like that.

Depending on how tall he is Thing could be a deluxe while the other three are in the actual wave. However they've been able to get all the recent comic Things on a single card, so hopefully they can do the same for his MCU counterpart.

Yes I think it's inevitable. Also worth noting, the white Future Foundation uniform is one of the few Spidey looks Hasbro hasn't yet remade on a modern body, so I could totally see them doing that and the rest of the team to go along with him.

According to that leak from before, the FF wave will be all movie. Which makes sense in this case as they easily have the FF and the Surfer to do. I don't think it's going to be a BAF wave though. But that part is a guess from me

@schizm

That would royally suck.

On the bright side, I wouldn't need to build the baf and could save some money.

@e-rock watch it be like Brave New World only a whole wave of deluxe figures.

I don't mind the FF wave being all MCU.  Easy skip.  No fretting about buying MCU figures to build a BAF I want.  I'll be happy with the Inhumans and FF She-Hulk.  If we get something else comic FF related, like a preorder Awesome Android, it'll be even better.  And then hit us up with comic FF in 2026.

I know the FF themselves are good anchors for an FF wave (duh), but they could also be an exclusive boxed set.  Plenty of costume choices.  Like a classic blue/black redo set in a boxed set (maybe with HERBIE) or a Future Foundation set (with a couple of kids).  I think it would be a good way to get comic FF stuff next year, without it directly competing with a MCU wave which would be at retail.

It's crazy that they could totally get me to buy the entire FF team again - plus a couple of other characters just by putting them in the Future Foundation outfits.   But they totally could

I heard the Fantastic Four wave will actually mimic the Hulk Legends waves of 2007 (Fing Fang Foom) and be a double wave of MCU FF figures with a super BAF. The BAF being a huge comic Terminus.
