Finally got around to opening Ka zar. He is.. fine? He looks nice. But his joints are all gummy as hell. He comes with trigger fingers? Ok...? And the forearm cut is annoying. I know why it's there. I don't like it anyway. They should've just made new forearms, it's not like they won't use them again. So yea. He's ok. But he could be better. And the gumminess sucks. I feel like I'm gonna break him every time I move his arms. Hopefully the inevitable box set rerelease fixes these problems.

That color looks much better to me - I also vastly prefer that old head. Looks good!
I prefer the new head over the old head, but neither are "90s" enough for me. She should have way bigger hair (up, not out - basically cross this hair with Legion's lol), whited out eyes, and a wider snarling mouth.
And yeah, NOT FING ORANGE. *sigh*

I just felt the need to post about Kazar's crappy forearm cut and the fact that the Fwoosh members, of all people, didn't see the solution right in front of them. The arm wraps from the bare arm Ninja's or the arm pack. Takes a bit of heat to get them on, but once there, a little leather paint and they look excellent and no unsightly forearm cut.

Slowly completing this wave. Received Wolfsbane and Red Widow today - which meant I could start assembling Sabu.
First, I noticed that the Sabu hind leg that came with Ikarus had a left paw on a right leg. Not great. Second, I thought that Red Widow had some cool red detailing on the blades of her weapon. Not quite - the pain was just peeling off. A lot.
The wave is OK, but these 2 things really annoyed me and will definitely need to be rectified somehow.

Got a second Red Widow to swap the weapon and the paint peeled off that one too. Has this been a prevalent issue? I don't think I've seen this happen before, at least not in the last several years.
Peeling paint will be a 'feature' on Husk from Generation X. I can see it now.
Bought Cable online from Walmart for $37 earlier today. Guessing it was a return or something but who knows as there was definitely low stock at the time. Think the other figures in the wave will hit clearance?
I’ve had Cable for a bit, but haven’t been too motivated for the rest of the line since I just have a passing interest in Kazar and Ikaris and the BAF. Tired of buying figures just for BAF pieces at $25 a pop, but did find Kazar and Wolfsbane at GameStop today. That $5 monthly coupon has justified a lot of impulse buys over the years.
I figured she’d be easy enough to probably sell in my local FB group. Trying to figure out if this non-retail wave is worth waiting out for some kind of deal for the remaining few.

Depends upon which version of her head you want.
Originally they gave her a really short, buzzed-looking hair style where all of it was the same length and explained that she couldn't grow it out any more than that for some reason related to her transformation. Her hair was about the length of a wolf's fur, so I suppose it made sense. I don't recall ever seeing a Legends with hair like this, and you don't see it on real people much either except maybe young boys who get quick haircuts from their mom.
Later they mostly seemed to give her a pixie cut with variable-length hair. I assume they did that because some artists thought it made her look more attractive. Ultron wave Wasp has a pixie cut that works for that, but even better is Quantumania Cassie Lang wave Wasp who also has a pixie. The paint and sculpt on Quantumania Wasp is far better than Ultron Wasp, but she also looks VERY much like the actress who played her Evangeline Lilly and maybe that breaks the illusion of it being Rahne Sinclair.
Quantumania Wasp has one of the best head sculpts the Legends team has ever done. I don't personally like pixies so I'm not a fan, but the actress did have a pixie, and wow, the head looks AMAZINGLY like Evangeline Lilly in the film. That head sculpt looks just as good in-hand as it does in the promo shot below.
