No longer need to use the [img] tags as the board is no longer using the old forum software.
As long as the image is hosted somewhere where you can share it (imgr, flikr, postimage.org, etc), you just need to paste the image url ending in JPG into the reply box and it should show up when you preview it.
Some people have had issues with Flikr squishing/stretching images and not allowing more than 1 image to post in a single reply (for some reason), but I just go the extra step of copying the [img] link from an image sized around 650 pixels, pasting into the reply box, and then just removing the extra code before and after the image url itself. Only takes a few seconds and lets me post multiple Flikr images in one post.

I tried changing my avatar. It does nothing other than show the name of the file I choose. Selecting save just seems to reload the page, but still with the avatar I'm trying to change out.

Exactly, thats what happens to me also. i have a bad habit of changing my avatar frequently too. so now my profile is the new avatar that i want but the thumbnail is the old avatar, odd.
I hate that this board is constantly logging me out. I go to post. Logged out. I really enjoyed this forum before, and I don't want to leave it, but it is such a chore to use now!

Maybe it's the browser/computer/phone and settings you're using. I get logged out maybe once every 2 weeks or so.

That tracks with my experience as well on mobile. On my desktop I can stay logged in indefinitely, or at least until MS forces a reboot or I lose power.
Every time I post it posts twice. Anyone have any idea what is going on . It also shows a WordPress error screen and makes me refresh every time I post
@jkpopculture I think Wordpress was having some issues this afternoon. I was getting the same issues. It looks to be ok now.
Edit: It does not look to be ok now. I'm sure it'll get sorted out. If you just click back when you have the Wordpress error screen your post should be posted once successfully.
