In a fit of madness, I picked up the 1:12 Tumbler /w combined pod model kit. It’s pure folly as I’ve nowhere to put one but fancy it as a nice wee project for Christmas. And if Modoking ever do the ‘89, I know I’ll do that too, damn it.

I picked one up last month, I can't wait to build it. I have the Modoking Dark Knight Batman/Batsignal set, that was a lot of fun and turned out very well. Can't wait to build the Tumbler.

@revox you won't regret it buddy its a fantastic model kit and when built its better then any batman vehicle in 1/12 scale McFarlane aint got nothing on this!!

We need to give Modoking some love so they can make more.

I haven't built mine yet, do you know how big it is compared to the McFarlane version? I know it's 1/12 and not the 1/10 or whatever that McF figures are, but I'm curious about shelf space. I could just build it, I suppose, but I was saving it for my winter vacation from work.

@therealsmallville Some time ago I saw a comparison photo. The model version was significantly smaller than Todd's. Enough that I thought "Oh, that would not pass with anything larger than true 1:12." No idea where I saw that, though.

Ah, that makes sense. I was hoping the model would be oversized just a little, a "close enough" deal to squeeze it in with the McFarlane Batmobiles that have come out. Guess I'll have to hunt down the McF Tumbler. Still looks like a super fun model to build, though!

Mc-fart-lane Batmobile's has nothing on this. If you actually look at the 89 both attempts of it the dimensions are totally off it a caricature, to be honest its only because of the CAG set and duel seats mod that's made it half decent.

It really is a good model kit and the fact you make it I think you appreciate more.

I got the modoking flash batcycle to build next another really good 1/12 vehicle which detail wise dumps all over the mcf version too hmmmm abit of pattern forming here lol.

I have the Flash Batcycle and the Flash Batfleck on preorder at BBTS, they both look awesome. I was very impressed with the TDK Batman and Batsignal set from these guys, and I'm very excited to build the Tumbler and Batpod.

@therealsmallville The weather here was miserable yesterday so I stayed indoors and dived in. The bike is fantastic!

Where did you pick up the bike, if you don't mind me asking? I've had the bike and Batfleck on preorder through BBTS, but they haven't released yet. (awesome pic there, btw)

I started working on the Tumbler and Batpod model over the weekend, and it's been a lot of fun. I'm about halfway though the Tumbler, maybe a little further (I'm ready to install the lights). One of the LED's isn't working, so that's a bummer, but otherwise it's been a fun build. Very relaxing.

@therealsmallville I got the Tumbler and Bat Signal from Gundammit but initially passed on the Batfleck Bike and it sold out there (and most other places) so I took a chance on Ali Express if you can believe it and they actually came through. Worked out at $45 inc shipping. I didn't order the Batman though, that's the new Mafex ZSJL Bats I've got on it there.
