@therealsmallville Initially I didn't care for the Power Girl plat, but something about the heat vision eyes + Streaky also has the red eyes, a nice touch.
My favorite all-time reg+plat was from Bestbuy.com. Ordered two Wonder Woman & they sent me reg+plat. Then it didn't work with Starfire. 😆
Ooooh, I didn't know Streaky had heat vision eyes too. Dammit, now I have to keep looking for one, damn you sir!
😋 kidding, of course

I wasn’t entirely disappointed to get the platinum version with my GameStop order. In fact, I thought about just passing on the regular version until I opened the platinum and saw that she had the red eyes. Then I took Streaky out and was like “Aw, c’mon, the cat has red eyes too?!?
The standard version is in route from evilBay. If I’m not looking, I’ll trip over them in stores. If I am, I’ll never see one.
I received regular and platinum Guy from GameStop today. I'm two for two now. I don't know should I try for platinum Captain Cold. 🤔
I know it’s been said before, but Tempest is an absolute shrimp. Finally got around to opening him and I’m not even happy getting these for $20 off on MTS anymore. Been waffling on whether to grab Begins Batman today with another $20 off code or just call it quits and eat the lost points.
Venting for my dad - he owns every single McFarlane Super Powers figure in box and bought the crowdfund. All the crowdfund figures came with seriously bent cards and dented vehicle boxes, but the shipping box was in great shape. Obviously an issue with the way the figures were packed. They refused to replace them unless he paid return shipping. Nobody to escalate the issue to, store policy is for the customer to pay return shipping, blah blah blah. Absolutely unreal. To do this to the top 1% of your customer for an issue you caused, just another reason to hate this company.
My Reeve Superman figure came with a dented box as well. I didn’t fuss because I was opening it. But now I feel as though I should have said something.

Yeah, that's pretty cool...I haven't watched any reviews of the Platinum, and I think I've only seen pictures of it on my phone so I absolutely missed out on discovering it had red eyes (and the cat, as well). Too cool! I must have one.
We're back?! Man, did the news of McFarlane losing the license shock me. While I wasn't a fan of his line, I did dig the Batmobile's. Curious to see what Mattel does with the line now that they have it back. I hope they move back to 6" but update their articulation to be like Legends.
I'm crossing my fingers for DCUC 2.0 with Four Horsemen producing new sculpts. One can dream ...
Come on, Mattel! Let's do BTAS justice!
I feel for the people who don't want this line to end, but I had a really hard time getting into it. I appreciate the willingness to make figures from older Batman movies, so I bought a few of those, but overall this just wasn't really the DC line I was looking for.
Mattel seems to be doing well with their current lines, and they have definitely improved since they last had the DC license. I'm optimistic.
I was beyond delighted by this announcement. I just hope that they take the line back to 6 inches. I've always hated the 7" scale. I still prefer all of my Mattel figures to the McFarlane ones.
Now I wish that I had stuck to my original plan of only buying McFarlane figures of characters that had never been made by Mattel or DCD/DCC. I've got at least one version of every character ever made by each. I'll likely wait until we know more about Mattel's plans for the line but I fully expect to sell the vast majority of my McFarlane figures now. Of course I also expect the secondary market to tank on those with this announcement.
DC has always been secondary to me to my Marvel Legends collection that I've also got at least one version of every character ever made by Hasbro, Toy Biz or Diamond, but I'm a still a very serious collector of DC. Now I just have to hope that McFarlane doesn't end up with the Marvel license as that would be my ultimate nightmare! I was very angry when they originally got the DC license but I'd completely lose my sh!t if Todd ever got Marvel.
I was a massive fan of the DCUC. I'm praying that these new ones, if we are getting a full on license like before, are even half as good as they were.
Yeah, I have mixed emotions about Mattel regaining the license. I'm hoping they get a good team into place to provide good character selection and sculpts. "DCUC: the Return" would not be unwelcome!
I guess I've just never seen the problem with McFarlane's 7" stuff because DCUC already made everything under the sun in 6". At least McFarlane was putting out something we didn't already have elsewhere, instead of forcing us to buy things we already own but with a new company tag on it.
Hopefully the new Mattel ones won't be as embarrassingly bad as the last year or two of their last turn at DC. Dick Grayson Batman, anyone? Here's hoping they've fixed their distribution, as well. In my neck of the woods, you do admittedly find plenty of wrestling figures and Barbie's but MOTU is few and far between. When they had the DC license last time, it was the same deal.
Humbug, I say.
But at least the forum is back! Good news after all!
Is there confirmation that the McFarlane DC line is actually ending? Could be that two companies have the license and do different scales/market segments.
If it is moving fully to Mattel, I have mixed feelings. I still have my huge DCUC collection and was buying them from the DC Superheroes days to the final releases in 2019 with whatever the line was called them. Switching back or starting a new collection again after five years doesn’t appeal to me.
Also, I was looking forward to McFarlane doing more with Super Powers and with the BTAS lines.
