I was thinking about reading the Death and Return, but goddamn there are a lot of interconnected issues. My track record with '90s books also isn't the best.

Give me HUSH Tim Drake Robin or give me death!

That's what I'm saying! I'm a late arrival to the line, picking up Harley, Huntress, and Nightwing this year. I still wasn't too invested up until two weeks ago when I managed to get blue/grey Bats for a decent price. A Mafex Tim Drake just skyrocketed to the top of my all-time wants! Really, really hoping they announce him soon. Also - how 'bout another rerelease for Bats and Supes!

Pretty sure Koji(?) said Tim was on the slate (they hinted at him round about the same time as he did Phoenix and Daredevil, and honestly, I never would have figured on Mafex doing Phoenix anytime soon, that’s when I became a believer as far as their hints are concerned). It does suck though that Medicom still haven’t even shown a prototype yet when even goddamn Nate Grey has one!

Not sure how to embed an image on here but just pretend it’s Hawkeye saying not to give him hope here. Lol

They've gone deep enough on the Hush theme that Tim seems a no-brainer, so I definitely buy it! Hope we see him soon.

... the expensive aftermarket prices kept me from going all-in - until I found someone selling blue/grey Batman for $130 and grabbed him.

Wow!  That Batman hung around for a long time.  Glad I got mine first thing.  Now, if DD19 ever gets around to shipping my cape to replace that circus tent that Batman came with I'll be great.

I'm no Superman fan at all but having all the replacement characters from that story is damn tempting.  They're iconic in the lore of American comics from an era that had almost evolved beyond creating icons.

Does anyone know/recommend of a good in-scale sniper rifle to go with the gray & blue Batman? Ive seen some advertised but wondered what one (s) people used

also in a similar vein a sonic gun for armoured Batman (although my guess is the best one is the one from the Mattel Multiverse DKR figure?)

Well I´ve been exactly there but ended up with a Mezco Dark Knight Returns figure with the sniper rifle. Otherwise I´d look on eBay for "1/12 sniper rifle", there are some.

I also bought the Mattel DKR figure solely for the sonic gun.

Kinda dumb question from someone who hasn't gone deep into Mafex but the Hush line is really nudging me in that direction - how valuable is the original packaging? Blue Bats was my first DC Mafex and Ivy will be my 8th when she arrives. Been holding onto the boxes so far but officially hitting the "jeez, these take up some space" question. I don't sell many figures but just don't want to shoot myself in the foot (It'd be easy to bag and secure all the swappable pieces and save a bunch of storage space but hesitating).

On the off chance if you ever sell them you would want the box. Especially since there’s small parts… nothing secures them better than the box they came in. I’ve kept all my boxes on my higher end figures the only boxes I get rid of are like marvel legends, dc multiverse and so on.

I’d trash the boxes, if they were never open that’s one thing, but once opened, the boxes are pointless

I think you add maybe $10 or $20 to your eBay sales with the box. I keep all my "nice" boxes (Mezco, 1000toys, etc.) but toss all the cheap ones (SHF, MAFEX, etc.). That's self-serving, though, because I buy a hell of a lot more MAFEX figures than Mezco figures, and I'm not sitting on all that trash.

I think you have to take your short- and medium-term happiness in mind when it comes to shit like that.

Mattel sonic gun is perfect, in my opinion.
