McFarlane have announced the Red Hood from the Adventures Continue is getting a rerelease under the Page Puncher brand plus a comic

Strange they didn't use this as an opportunity to get the never made Talon (or Flash Point Batman/Vampire Batman as a BAF)

Interestingly he includes the original gun and bazooka

I suppose they could be testing the waters for a release of those, but then again, I'd think they'd sell pretty well regardless. People love the animated style. But I also wanna say that the reason the animated Red Hood, Deathstroke, and maybe Armored Batman?- can't remember the third- were released was that they were further along into production than Talon and Vampire Bats. Maybe a true prototype never really existed.

I'd love to see Todd make them eventually. He certainly can, it's just a matter of if he will, and if it would be cost-efficient for him. I'd happily take them as part of a BAF wave, but not as the BAF itself. There's also the matter of scale- the BAFs he's released thus far have seemed a little more on the big, bulky side. Which I suppose could work for Talon; I've always pictured/preferred them a bit more lean and/or sinewy, but the animated style is exaggerated anyway.

I don't believe so.

That said, I'm not buying the figures that weren't in the show, so all the comic-based newbies are out.  What I want to see are non-cel-shaded Penguin and Clayface with new heads more accurate to the original animated series.  I never liked the heads on the ones we got, especially Penguin.  I also already have 3 Catwomen, so I'm sure I'll be forced to buy another for some BAF.  Hugo Strange, Red Claw, the Tiger Tiger wolf guy, the 3 animal-headed yuppies, Rupert Thorne and some of the lesser knowns would be fun too.  I get the impression they're eventually going to rerelease the expression packs too to bilk us for more money.  I'm not buying them UNLESS THEY'RE NOT CEL-SHADED MCFARLANE!

@sephiroth61787 The sporadic sitings I've read didn't mention finding more than one.  I've haven't seen any myself, and never expect to, sadly.  Good luck with your search!

Thank you for taking the time to respond! I'll be patient and keep an eye out in the meantime.

Target has all 4 of the Zeus wave back up on the site at present time.

3 new McFarlane reveals - reissues of TNBA Scarecrow and Riddler plus TNBA in blue (which I think is a reference to an old Kenner figure?)

Just opened all 4 figures to build Maxie Zues and I am very disappointed with the design of the BAF. Feels like a step back from Lock Up.

The waist has no swivel - the upper and lower body just fit together using a rectangle connection that’s tough for me to describe, but it’s a real pain to get it to connect and have the upper/lower torso without a gap. The legs are very loose as well, partially from pushing in that ridiculous torso connector. Wish there was a better way to put these together to retain the joint integrity. Feels like a loose legged statue.

I think you may have accidentally quoted the wrong person. We were looking for the animated unmasked Batman Beyond figure.

Well took ages (had to eventually import it) but finally got the Joker-Mobile! So cool to get this vehicle after it was shown off by DC Collectibles all those years back!

Also had my Maxie Zeus wave ship today to 🙂

Can't quite tell if the colors on Scarecrow are slightly changed from the original. Seems maybe his skin is a little darker? I was hoping they'd take the chance to add a few more shadows to the face; obviously the gaunt, shadowy look from the cartoon is tough to capture 1:1, but I feel like the old Justice League/DC Universe 3.75" figure did it pretty well by just adding some more black to the face. It's times like these I wish I were good at customizing; I feel like a lot of presence could be added by just giving him a slight repaint/wash. Ah, well, I'll still snag him. Had the original figure on my BTAS shelf since its release, but always wanted a second version for the dedicated Scarecrow shelves.

Edited to add- I didn't realize until just now he doesn't come with as many accessories as before. I get leaving out the gun, things being what they are, but I wonder why they left out the fear gas canister. There's not much this version could come with anyway, why leave out one of the most crucial parts of his character? McFarlane gonna McFarlane

Dont have my original TNBA Scarecrow to hand, but from the promo shots his face looked like this

Also the McFarlane version doesnt include the staff which is bizarre since its just a brown stick...

Really? Thats bizarre of so - is the coin not sculpted on one of the hands?

(This is the original from DC Collectibles)

I hadn't realized that either, but you're right. On quick glance, I saw the stick for the stand and thought it was his staff. What the heck, Todd? I'm biased, of course, with my love of the character, but it's a lot of people's favorite design of his, and all you give him are a couple extra arms? Especially when all these parts already exist; I assume he has the molds for the weapons too, and how expensive can a straight brown stick really be? I guess if he can stand well enough on his own, I'll just use the stick for the stand as his staff (since he ironically enough included gripping hands FOR the staff). The baffling decisions of Todd McFarlane continue.
