In the world of 1/6 scale action figures there are a ton of companies making amazing figures these days. From Hot TOys, to DamnToys, to Phicen to Original Effect. Original Effect stood out for me when they released their Reborn body, which stands as one of the best female bodies on the market. It’s amazing to look at and is somewhat of a standard for me when it comes to female action figures.
But Original Effect stands out for another reason, their willingness to make some really weird and creep stuff. There aren’t a lot of monster makers in the 12 inch action figure world, and fewer that make off the charts weird stuff. Original Effect’s Nightmare 3 Demonization figure looks like something out of a H.P. Lovecraft story. The more I turn the figure over in my head I’m thinking some kind of demon monster to haunt my 1/12 action figure universe.
