This week’s featured custom is Ms. Big Pile of Dust’s ‘Recruiting Spike’ scene from Buffy the Vampire slayer.
I think some of my favorite episodes of Buffy were the ones where they went back in time to show the origins of some of the main vampire characters. I especially like the “Fool for Love” and “Darla” episodes where they depict how Spike joined their group . MsBigPileofDust created the characters from this episode here almost from scratch and pretty much pitch perfectand in all their period costume glory.
MsBigPileofDust always does great work on her clothing sculpts and these three are no exception, but this Darla especially jumps out at me as a great transformative sculpting and paint job. I never really felt like that headsculpt captured Julie Benz’s likeness all that well until MsBigPileofDust worked her magic on it. That crazy period hair-do is so great, too.
