Another Sunday. Not very many deals from what I can see, but then again I’m caught up with most of the current lines I collect. Sure, I could catch up on some missing Transformers Masterpiece but those aren’t as easy to find compared to what I’m used to with Marvel Legends and NECA goods. And then the elusive Star Wars Black Stormtrooper continues to slip my grasp. Someday. But none of that is going cheap so I decided to stare at nice customs today. Makes me feel like I need to buy fodder and then be lazy for a couple of years.
These custom Transformers Masterpiece seekers are a-maze-ing. I love that the effects aren’t just paint apps but sculpted details. First up is Icestorm.
And Acid Storm. I like this deco way better than the TRU exclusive, even if I don’t mind it’s digital camo.
These Masters of the Universe Classics customs are an awesome mix of wrestler and MOTUC fodder in that the pieces mix perfectly. I wouldn’t have thought that.
And my favorite, Rai-Darr. The smile, goggles, and alternate power hands just work for me.
It’s been a while since I’ve paid attention to DC Universe Classics but these two Dr. Lights are just too good to pass up.
Dr. Light: Kimiyo Hoshi and Dr. Light: Arthur Light
At first I thought this custom Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Slash was a little rough, and it is, but it fits the character and works well on the NECA base body.
I showed a samurai Clonetrooper a few weeks ago and here’s a custom Samurai Darth Vader piece to accompany it. I love the Imperial symbol integrated into the left shoulder pad.
And finally, this artist does some amazing work with what looks like Hasbro helmets and Nerf guns. I am partial to metal effects and wear and rust so I dig the hell out of these. You can see all of the work here.
