Medicom has released a new promo image for their MAFEX DX Spider-Man 2 figure, who comes with a lot more accessories than the regular release. It looks like for about twice the price, around $80, you can get a fireman’s helmet, bullhorn, skateboard, backpack, manhole cover, flashlight, cell phone, a vial of some sort, and a wall base with a removable web. I’m not sure if all the shooting weblines come with the regular version, but you get four of them here. And then there is the unmasked head and removed mask. And magnets in the hands and feet. And what looks like several sets of hands. And probably something else I’m missing. Let’s just say he comes with a lot of stuff.
I missed out on the first MAFEX Spider-Man. I’m one of those guys who didn’t mind the costume change so that wasn’t the reason I don’t own it. I just missed it. But this one, woo, this one is close enough to Spidey’s comic look that I probably won’t be able to pass it up. And the wall base is just nice enough that I may throw down for the DX version.
