Like I said last night, I opened my big mouth and the toy heavens opened up because there is so much stuff coming fast and furious it’s hard to keep up. Okay, the news didn’t come because I commanded it to reveal itself. It just happened. After I griped about it. It’s like when you post on the boards that you just spent twice as much on a figure only to find it at retail the next day. Yeah, it’s like that. Or you finally say “Okay, I quit this line” and Amazon stocks them that night. After you go to bed. And the hard to find figure is sold out by the time you wake up in the morning. It’s like that. The toy gods are a wicked and spiteful lot. But enough about that, it’s Happy Hour!
NECA continued their Monkey Monday with a sneak peek at the Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Maurice!
Alright, confession time. I am much more excited about the modern POTA than I am the classic ones. Don’t judge me, I’m a bad nerd pushing forty! Do something! Don’t get me wrong, I dig the classic figures, but I am much more attached the modern incarnations. And like Glenn Webb gloriously summed it up on Facebook:
“Customizers get ready – Red Ghost’s Super-Apes here we come!”
Hot dang, I hadn’t even thought of that!

I’ll be damned if this isn’t slowly growing on me. Not as Iron Man really, but as a funky robot to fit in with the rest of ThreeA’s figures. If this was portable I’d definitely go after Stealth or Prototype.
Newcomer Toy Notch has revealed more painted prototypes from their 3 and 3/4 Lost Planet line!
Still no pics of the mechs, but they can’t be far behind. Look for more this weekend during Toy Fair!
And then there’s this…
Yup, another Barnes & Noble Game of Thrones Legacy find. And a little birdy told me a fellow Fwoosher found a whole set and was able to buy them so maybe we will see some nice up close and personal pictures soon!
Happy Hour’s over!
