Little announcement before we start: Fwoosh will be doing upgrades starting tonight and into tomorrow. Things may get a little rough. If you can’t get the page to load or get some kind of technical difficulties, it’s on purpose. Continued growth has caused strain and we’re building a bigger boat. So don’t get mad, we’ll be back if we’re gone at all. Who knows what will happen, but it will end up better. Now that that’s out of the way, it’s Happy Hour!
McFarlane Toys showed production pictures of The Walking Dead Series 5!
Glenn and zombie Merle look great! I’m actually kind of surprised how close Glenn’s figure resembles the actor actually. The same goes for the resemblance to Tyreese, but something funky is going on below the waist. His pants look malformed and the hips low while he also loses ankle articulation. Still will find it’s way into my wife’s display, definitely. The Charred Walker is a statue but that’s okay in my book. Cannon fodder and looks nice. Zombie Merle is downright creepy. Again he looks just like Merle.
My problem is with Maggie. I don’t know what happened there but even the sculpt doesn’t really look like her. The paint just adds to her becoming a random survivor. She also loses ankle joints which while not a deal breaker in my significant other’s eyes, is another strike against her in the overall scheme of things. One of the good things going for her seems to be she has a nice posterior. I know that’s kind of a creepy thing to say but it jumped out at me and spawn.com did provide back shots, so it’s not really my fault. It’s not!
You can see more pics and comments on Spawn.com’s feature on them.
BigBadToyStore has these on preorder, and they look to be coming next month, so jump on it!
Hasbro released hi-red picture of Marvel Universe Infinite!
Now, I don’t buy Marvel Universe (I am not made of money!) but I’m going to have to get that Wasp for the Legends display.
Okay, Legends got Hyperion and now Universe is following suit. Can we have the favor returned and get Grim Reaper in Legends now? Please?
Looks like the complete Batman ’66 TV Series is getting released on home video!
The popular 60s-era Batman television show starring Adam West and Burt Ward as the Dynamic Duo is finally getting a home video release.
The news came via an unusual, but appropriate, source. Longtime comic book fan and TV personality Conan O’Brien.
You can read the full story on DC’s website.
I snicker at the use of “home video release.” Not that it’s wrong, I guess, but it makes me think of VHS. Because I’m old. Then the snickers turn to tears.
And then there’s this…
I found this blog post on Facebook thanks to Ebonhorn and I had to share because these look awesome. The blog links through to the artist’s site so give it a look!
Happy Hour’s over!
