Gary Schaeffer the owner of The Outer Space Men LLC along with the creator of the 1968 Outer Space Men first ever line of alien action figures Mel Birnkrant have teamed up for the 45th anniversary of the iconic 1960’s collectibles to bring the Cosmic Creator Birnkrant Series 2 into the hands of a global community.
Where a short 8 years ago there were just about 250 Baby Boomers who remember playing with the OSM; today there is a global community of over 150,000 who are staunch avid die hard fans of this eternal and ever present brand of action figure toys.
This set of four action figures are created and designed by the legendary Mel Birnkrant at over 75 years of age and promises to be one of the biggest events in OSM history. Along with the new Cosmic Creator Series 2 comes the introduction of the 14th OSM.
As each of the original 7 hailed from a different planet in our Solar System representing the best of the best that their planet had to offer; today for the first time ever Earth is represented and this time she is an Outer Space Woman. Her name is Terra Firma and she is selling out where ever she is found.
The Outer Space Men will have the biggest presence ever at the New York Comic Convention at the Javits center this October 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th. Mel Birnkrant will be in attendance on Saturday the 12th signing autographs. Be sure to get to booth 430 as fast as you can during the show on Saturday to meet the greatest toy designer ever.
