Okay, I was wrong. In the previous article and the accompanying video Quickie I guessed that the full S.H. Figuarts Star Wars: A New Hope Princess Leia would probably be during this weekend’s Wonder Festival. Bandai didn’t even wait twelve hours. But I’d rather be wrong and look at pretty pictures. Let’s make it a Leia kind of day!
I didn’t mention it earlier but it looks like she’s going to be a traffic cone. Maybe a little movement with the slits on the sides but still, no kung-fu here. Which is okay, she still looks badass. This should definitely please the anti-cloth crowd.
I compared the hood feature to SHF Ben Kenobi but with the new pics we can see that the collar and hoods are one interchangeable piece, no tabs or breaks. This makes me happy.
Probably too happy. Ecstatic.
The likeness isn’t perfect, and as always macro pictures show the printing, but I have a good feeling that this will hit the spot in-person. And if not, between this and the Black Series version, we have the parts and peices to make our own little versions, if these don’t please.
The blurb doesn’t mention exactly when this will go up for pre-order but it should be soon. My guess is still August 1st.
And hey, look what we can do now! Or, well, will be able to do soon.
