Magazine scans of the S.H. Figuarts EPIII Anakin have been making the rounds since last week but here’s the official promotional images!
I liked the EPII SHF Anakin we got a while back but this is the Anakin I really, really wanted. He just has a more interesting look and although he’s still whiny, he’s evil whiny, and I’m way better with that.
THe figure looks to comes with a lightsaber, of course, along with the usual hand options. We expected an alternate head but turns out it comes with three options. Standard mad, Sithy, and screaming. The open mouth screech is…..hmmm.
Images are awesome, especially for something I’ve been waiting a long time for like this version of Anakin. But there is some confusion to the actual release avenues. The actual page lists it as “Reservation lifting at general dealers” on April 27, which means it’s a general release at all of the standard outlets. But these magazine scans tell a different story.
That logo at the bottom means it’s a Soul Web exclusive. Maybe there are two versions? Maybe things have changed? We’ll see Friday, I guess.
Either way, bring on EPIII Obi-Wan, Queen Amidala, Dooku, and whatever other prequel goodness Bandai has shown at various shows. Anakin will run you about $60 and release in September.
