We’ve been seeing the S.H. Figuarts Star Wars: A New Hope Ben Kenobi at various shows for a while now so it’s great to finally get a release date!
Before all that though, yes, the straight white hair makes it look odd. I think with a wash of a little gray it would have nailed it but I’m happy the beard isn’t as patchy as I feared.
But crazy to see is the closed eye alternate head.
I can’t remember a more different face for a SHF SW figure off the top of my head. It’s awesome that Bandai didn’t just go “Welp, not a lot of looks here, just skip an extra head.” But they they didn’t stop there. Besides the hood down piece there is also a hood up option.
It looks a little stiff but it’ll do.
Oh, you want more? There’s a blade for the lightsaber too.
“But Robo, they all come with the blades.” Okay, how about a crumpled “Ben Kenobi has left the building” robe for your favorite 1:12 scale Darth Vader to kick around?
Yeah, I knew that would do it for ya. That and the fact he looks great with the Farmboy Luke.
