SDCC 2017: 3D Retro Booth/ 1000toys

My first stop on Preview Night was to the 3D Retro booth to see if I could pick up a couple of the 1000toys 1/12 Synthetic Human figure I passed on. I was so shocked that the clear exclusive was available that I completely forgot to take any pics of the booth until Saturday! Click through for some pics of some previews of new 1000toys products.

I don’t know the story behind the 1000toys Synthetic Human figures, I just know the design really appeals to me and the figures are some of the most poseable I’ve bought in this scale.

My clear variant has slightly googly eyes on the alternate head, but it’s okay because the figure has a tiny frick’n PERS like eyeball movement system. It’s so cool and I’m digging the Microman tribute vibe.

Also at the booth Saturday were a bunch of 1/35 MechatroWeGo robots on display. These little dudes were sorely tempting.

I was also really intrigued by the BLAME figure prototypes. They were interesting designs with what looked like a lot of articulation at 1/12 scale.

They also had a couple of cool 1/6 scale figures for sale.

Finally they had a case of figures for NU:SYNTH INITIATIVE which looks to be a collaboration between 1000toys and other toy designers. I was especially excited by the prospect of the the Glyosynth figure which looked to be a cool cross of the Glyos and synthetic human figures.
