After such a long wait, it was a pleasure to finally get this Hulk figure from figma.
While there were some damn near perfect action figures released in 2016, figma’s long advertised Hulk hit the mark for me. The thigh engineering left a lot to be desired, but the rest of the figure was perfect. The figure looks like the Mark Ruffalo Hulk; the sculpt is spot-on to the hulk that was represented in the movie. Proportions look right: Hulk is big and monstrous while maintaining that relaxed/fluid look that we saw in the movie. The color even look right although seeing them in person as plastic on the shelf gives one the heeblies.
I love the articulation on this figure, and while the engineering on the thighs leaves a lot to be desired, everything works perfectly, moves perfectly and there is no pose that can’t be attained. I was worried about the ab joint the most, or the lack of one, but the waist ball has a huge range of movement making it the perfect Hulk made. Not just in 2016, but to date.
*Just a note for those still reading, figma forgot to put a lock into the parts of the knee and hip that should keep the thigh held together. As they did not do this, the thighs have a tendency to fall apart.
