This was a tough decision. A really tough decision. I mean, it wasn’t as hard of a decision to make as something like Harvey or Rachel, or trying to decide to cut the red or the green wire, but it was just below those two.
Every so often in this figure collecting hobby of ours, a figure gets made of a character that we have wanted for a long time. Months, years, maybe even a decade. This year I probably got three or four of those figures — that’s what made this choice so tough. Now, my fellow staffers helped me decide by grabbing some of my choices as their top picks of the year. Canonball snatched up Wolvie right away, and Robo grabbed Mafex Boba. So two choices were down. I went back and forth over my last three and finally decided on this one.
My favorite figure of the year is DC Collectibles Harley Quinn from the Icons line.
She’s just so perfect. She hits all the major checkpoints. She’s one of my favorite characters. She’s in her classic jester suit. Her sculpt is amazing. She’s super poseable with a great playability factor. Her face sculpt is great and her paints are super clean. She comes with some great accessories that fit the character. Add all that up and and you can see why she’s number one on my list, just edging out Mafex Batman, Legends Kitty, and DCC Icons Batgirl.
