  1. And yet doesn’t want to pay for a Scarlett figure on eBay. Go figure.

  2. Conversely, The Classified Series is all but impossible to find in Canada. The Cobra Island fiasco that Target has been is worse in Canada at Toys R Us. The Amazon exclusive Storm Shadow seemingly had more pre-orders cancelled then fulfilled.

  3. You mean how like even chap mei toys have 5 poa but nicely detailed sculpts? yeah this retro simple look…..thats companies playing the nostalgia card and too many of our brothers jumped on the bandwagon.

  4. “Some” are full of shit. Hasbro has made a couple hooded Cobra Commander figures since that Sideshow figure came out. The most recent one was 2017.

  5. I just remember it when I ordered my Sideshow Hooded Cobra Commander some years back, and some were saying it’s be the last CC with a hood specifically for this reason.

  6. eh, the mobs usually wrong about everything. But im sure some SJW will cry about CC having a hood

  7. have you ever jumped into the super7 game? The product is nice, expensive, takes forever to come out inbetween waves and waves are constantly delayed. Prices also increase wave by wave.

  8. I hadn’t heard that, though it definitely make sense. GI Joe is fairly low on my list of stuff I collect, so I don’t follow related news beyond what’s here on the Fwoosh homepage.

I was just annoyedly thinking they were holding out to get more money with a second version, when even Hasbro released a figure with helmet and hood in the 2013 Retaliation line.

With this in mind, I may get this figure after all, since the helmet is my preferred version, anyway. 🙂

  9. Wasn’t there something like 10 years back about Hasbro no longer allowing CC to have the hood in any merchandise since, well, Cobra Commander is kind of actually an angry poor white domestic terrorist guy in a hood, and that probably isn’t smart to sell in this day and age?

  10. I laugh that Super7 charges $20 for 5POA figures yet I can get a Hiya or Hasbro super articulated 3.75 for the same price or lower.

I don’t get the point of these things. If they did retro Star Wars or Battlestar Galactica figures? Sure, makes total sense. But who wants a 5POA Joe when I can go into Walmart and get a super articulated one for almost $10 less?

  11. No hooded alternate head for Cobra Commander = dealbreaker. The figure looks great, and I was totally gonna get it, until I saw there is no hooded portrait. A CC figure needs both the helmet and the hood if you want my money.

And it feels like a huge miss that these cartoon-based figures don’t include red and blue laser blast effects. The look and sound of the lasers in the cartoon is a major nostalgic feature for me. I was excited to see laser effects are included with the Silverhawks, so it’s very disappointing to see that the GI Joe figures don’t have them.

  12. Exactly! In 1983, I left behind my beloved Star Wars for GI Joe in part because of the greater articulation. These ReAction figures are like some bizarro alternate universe where GI Joe figures sucked.

I’m a diehard 1:18 scale-only collector, but I have never considered buying a ReAction figure. They’re an abomination and I’ll never understand why people support this garbage. Such a waste of so many great licenses.

  13. I thought that was hilarious. “Imagine an alternate reality where GI Joe was a 5POA release. They wouldn’t have taken off to become what they are now without that articulation. And no 5POA figure should EVER be $20. Super7 is responsible for this and for why retro figures have now replaced the kid accessible 5poa figures as recently as the Star Wars ROS figures. And the retro figures have horrible paint apps. At least come out with an awesome sculpt for the 5POA Joe’s instead of the simplistic ‘collectible’ here.

  14. This was SE early look in the very first episode series of the Toon where he gets radioactive poisoned and meets Timber. As an americon collector, these figures cost $60 USD each. And I agree with you. These lines are too costly to support.

  15. I don’t wanna impulse buy those Battle Android Troopers but, dear God, they look so tempting.

  16. I’m torn, I kinda want the Snake Eyes, but I’m not keen on 7” scale, and I really don’t know if I need to dip my toe into another line only to have OCD set in and grab all of them.

  17. These are literally all I’ve ever wanted from 6-7″ scale Joes. I am so happy right now. Thank you, Super7!

  18. Duke : OK.
Snake Eyes : Why oh why is Snake Eyes BLUE? And what is with the jetpack / lasergun combo?
Cobra Commander : How the hell is he going to hold the large rifle? 2 helmeted heads and NO hooded head?
    B.A.T. : YES, Thank You.

But more important : As a Belgian collector, these figures will end up costing about 80-90 Euro each (figure+shipping+import taxes). And as we, Europeans, have seen with Masters Classics and recent Super7 releases (Conan / Thundercats) this is just to much to support these lines, at least here in costly Europe…

  19. Thats exactly what I said. Why would anyone want 5poa joes? You can buy the vintage original figures with better articulation and tons of weapons each on Ebay for about the same price or a little more. And they would fit in VEHICLES. The main draw of the line.

  20. I think that “loose” gripping hand on the far right bottom corner is supposed to be used to hold the large rifle. It’s probably going to be held by carrying the bottom with 3 fingers and with trigger finger securing it. And that open palm left hand to the left of it seems to suggest you want to have the left hand carry the barrel as well. Probably not a perfect fit, but will hold ok enough.

  21. The Ultimates figures look cool as cartoon collectibles, but who wants 5POA GI Joe? I can’t fathom THE line that defined super articulated action figures as 5POA.

Sadly, this Scarlett will probably be the only 3.75 one we can get since the Walmart retro one is going for obscene prices.

  22. Single jointed elbows and knees AGAIN???? Just like with their Power Rangers line, the accessories are cool but the lackluster articulation and outrageous price tag make these an easy pass.

  23. Why no gloves on Snake Eyes? Nearly every other figure of him ever produced has gloves on.
