Medicom has been busy and decided to actually show off four new figures today. We posted about Evil Gwenpool and Deadpool earlier, so here’s Alien (No.84) and John Wick Chapter 2 (No.85)!
For the Alien promotional images it seems Medicom was either ready to go home after a long grueling day or the figure can’t actually pose very dynamically. Maybe the sculpt gets in the way, or maybe they wanted to keep the overall look intact. Or maybe the photographer just wasn’t feeling it. Who knows. Medicom usually posts some in-hand galleries as the figure gets closer to release, maybe we’ll see something more inspired there.
I can’t tell if it a full alternate head with movable inner mouth or some kind of attachment to the huge noggin, but it’s definitely mouth options.
And I’m not going to lie, the thought of having a face hugger and chest burster that can go on any action figure in the collection may be a bigger pull for me here than the actual Alien.
The Alien is set to release June 2019 and will run about $85.
And then there is John Wick Chapter 2…
If the suit body here is anything like the Nolan Trilogy Scarecrow and Harvey Dent I just got, I’m going to have to pre-order this one, even though I haven’t seen Chapter 2. SHUT UP! I fell asleep on the plane and haven’t had a chance to sit down with it again.
Again, a severe lack of dynamic poses, even though I know this body will pull them off, so I’m chalking this up to a tired employee. They started strong with Deadpool and then kind of petered out as things went along. That’s the problem with shooting multiple toys at a time. Moving on…

But the biggest thing I’ve seen people talking about online is the addition of the pencil. Medicom doesn’t disappoint.
There’s also an an alternate beat-to-hell head. So Keanu it hurts.
John will cost around $75 and release June 2019. It’s looking like an expensive summer next year.
