Jim Pansen Creations sent along a few new head sculpts intended for use on Mythic Legions action figure bodies. Today we are looking at the Dwarf, Dreng Hardhammer and the Lizard Man, Gulacz. Let’s take a look!
I’m a big fan of the Dwarves in the Mythic Legions line, so it’s really cool to be able to add a unique head sculpt to a figure that re-used another Dwarf’s head. With his severe helmet and unique color scheme, Dreng is a fantastic addition to my dwarf legion.
The head has a perfect classic Dwarf look with heavy brows, large nose, and an absolutely epic beard. The beard is long and braided, but the whole head is cast in a fairly flexible plastic. The plastic allows you to pop the head on and off fairly easily, but it stays on pretty tightly.
The paint job is also fantastic with some lifelike eyes and nice dry brushing.
Gulacz is a kind of lizard man and the attachment piece is intended to fit on armored Mythic Legions figures ( it has a post that goes into the neck rather than a peg whole). It looks pretty fantastic on the Bog Goblin body, though the articulation is only a swivel similar to the Bog Goblin.
The scale sculpt is very beautifully detailed and the paint job is created to highlight the great sculptural detail. I love the overall look, it’s got a great D&D feel to it.
