Hasbro: Marvel Legends Klaw and Shuri Two-Pack

One of the things I love about the Marvel Legends focus on Marvel Cinematic Universe releases is that it often spills over to the release of more comic-based characters. Klaw is one of those villains that I have a lot of nostalgic love for, but didn’t love his first figure and I’m glad he’s getting another shot. Let’s take a look at Klaw and Shuri!

This two-pack comes in the now standard Marvel Legends two-pack packaging with a nice open window in front, two pretty illustrations on the side and some slick photography of the figures on the back.

Klaw looks to be based on the Sunfire base body with a new blaster arm and head. The overall effect of this base is pretty effective and I think a far superior build to the original ML Klaw. He comes with a now-familiar blast effect that I believe is very effective here.

Shuri looks to be based on the Storm/Patsy Walker Hellcat base body. It seems to match well with the artwork on the side of the box.

She comes with a removable cape, necklace, and belt. The cape just rests on the shoulders and the necklace also just rests on the chest. The belt is not easily removable, but I suppose you could cut it off or pop it off with a little heat.

I think my preferred look is the necklace without the cape. It matches up nicely with the recent exclusive Black Panther.

The articulation for these two is pretty standard stuff due to base body reuse, and there is mostly no issue with movement. Shuri’s ankles are a little stiff and I felt a little nervous moving them, so I heated them up before moving them. Her wrists are also oriented for spear attacks, so they hinge up/down rather than in/out.

Klaw is mostly cast in this great cherry red sparkly color that I think does a great job recreating the look of his sonic creations in the book.

Shuri’s black plastic and grey boots match well with the recent Black Panther. Shuri’s wraps on the boots are just printed lines, but it looks nice.

I’m not much of a Shuri fan, so I was here for Klaw and he does not disappoint. I love this figure. Shuri actually turned out really nice as well, and now I want to read more about her.
